Wrong. I was very vocal in my support of Rudy and still am as was troobloo back then too and Dando. I call on Chuckles to apologise to Rudy for being so wrong. Its the least he deserves. Rudy was a scapegoat at this club and helped us win promotion yet Cardiff fans need something to moan about all the time and because we were doing the business on the pitch people victimised him. Now he is going to be playing in the PL.

Rudy on times, couldn't trap a bag of cement!!! But, how can a player b judged when, he started for 45mins, sat on the bench for 3 games, used for 12mins (expected to score 2 goals to clinch a point), may feature for 30 mins over another 4 games!!
How is a player expected to hit their stride?
Football is all about lucky brakes, Rudy deserves his. I always rated him, hope gives 2 fingers to his doubters!! :ayatollah:

So Rudy isn't worth £4.5m? Yes he is because that is what clubs are prepared to pay for him.

So he can't cut it in the PL? Yes he can according to at least 2 PL clubs.

The truth is Cardiff never got the best out of him. He has blossomed at Blackburn and on the radar of top flight clubs now.

All the criticism smacks of sour grapes or an unwillingness to believe that other clubs are capable of nurturing talent. :old:

what sort of logic is that? 2 PL clubs willing to take a calculated risk on him means he will cut it? there have been countless players who haven't managed the step up yet had many PL clubs chasing them. until proven otherwise he is a championship player, unproven at PL level, no matter what clubs show interest in him.

i'm sure steve bruce would be the first to tell you its a punt and you can't be sure that he will cut it in the PL as he hasn't played regularly there. the deal is off anyway.

The deal isn't off until the window closes.

What I'm trying to point out is that Rudy is a lot better than he was recognised for at Cardiff. He has moved on and is evidently playing better or PL clubs wouldn't be interested. Bruce can't take too many "punts" at £4.5m. He must have an idea that Rudy has the attributes to make it work.

Come on, you must agree that he didn't get enough pitch time at Cardiff to properly assess his worth!

When the window closes, I'd be very surprised if he wasn't the subject of interest from other clubs.

Just saying.
