She was the head of BU.
personally I thought they were a disgrace and we got blue back dispite them. She is not involved in the trust, I guess members voted her on.
In fairness she came across well in recent interviews.
It would have to be vince though.
Again, I find myself agreeing with 2blue2handle on this subject!![]()
Nothing personal against Sian, who certainly spoke well on Thursday, but she is (like several others) part of a specific group that ended up more ridiculed than revelled (again not entirely her fault) and certainly played little or no part in the eventual return to blue IMHO
That, as I stated elsewhere, was purely down to Tan seeing the IN-STADIUM protests (wearing of blue, 19:27 protest and eventually empty seats)
Still vince for me, IF one has to chosen

Why are you surprised, Annis is a season ticket holder for around 40 years, his family have season tickets, travels home and away to watch his beloved bluebirds, was pivotal in the campaign to return to blue and is a successful business man.
I would have thought he'd be the ideal candidate.

Only ridiculed by a couple on here plus a jumped up journalist who now has gone into hiding.
If BU had not been born the blue could have easily died. Before BU all we were doing was arguing amongst ourselves and lapping up red scarves with very few were wearing blue. The red brigade were having a field day with what was going on but when BU came along they went into hiding as well.
For the record the wearing of blue, 19:27 protest and eventually the empty seats were supported by the BU. To say BU was a disaster is well of the mark. To me BU had more bottle than well some other names being banded about, a lot more bottle. I can't see their rep being asked to join the board, the board could not handle the ultimate no person

My opinion is Annis has the perfect attributes to represent fans.
One bit of advice I'll give you Paul is don't take message boards so seriously.

For you to say that BU were an absolute disgrace shows to me that you have absolutely been living under a rock and have no idea at all how much time, commitment and effort was put in by Sian and her Committee. Enough said.

You make some valid points, but the fact is that BU failed due to the ne'er-do-wells that attached themselves to it and derailed its original (and well-intentioned) purpose of a simple return to blue
So many agendas and demands were heaped, as well as ridicule and intimidation (admittedly both ways) that it sadly soon disintegrated into a non-important group
To give BU credit for the 19:27 protest is a little cheeky, as so far as I can see at [b]EVERY /b] game, 99% of the stadium join in with that and only a small percentage are BU members
I repeat that IMHO it was the in-stadium protests that did the trick and not any marches or external group protests
Bums on or (in the Colchester case) off seats, the almost universal wearing of blue and the19:27 vocal protest were the catalyst for what happened last week

Come off it Sven. The 19:27 came about when all the groups got together. Who drove that getting together? Who led the that protest? Without that initial drive none of this would have generated.
