Re: ' David Marshall and Fabio Da Silva to be Sold? '

Howard on his way to MLS.
Marshall, Fabio and anyone else we can get a decent fee from will go soon too.
No more big expensive signings whilst Mr Tan is still in charge here.
Mr Slade can only sign cheap replacements or free signings.
Back to blue is great, but expect no further investment from Mr Tan.
League 1 or even 2 beckons.
Hopefully new buyers can be found soon, but please don't hold your breath.

Goalkeeper Goodison bound

Everton are on the verge of signing Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall according to a number of reports, with the rumour mill going into over drive.

The Daily Star and the Liverpool Echo have been running the stories and fans are confident that the goalie is due in this week in a deal which could rise to £6m.

The 29 year old glovesman impressed in the Premier League last season with Cardiff and he has played 29 times in all competitions this season.

I have to agree with some of the others on here in that Malone was far from excellent yesterday. He was ok on the ball but his positioning at times was atrocious Morrison and Turner were screaming at him on times. Totally switched off on at least three occasions, similar to what John is prone to doing. Granted it was his first game but needs to improve.

Ravell was excellent, done exactly what Rotherham fans said he would and gave 100%.

Noone was quiet and the middle 3 (couldn't work out who was playing wide right) gave Fulham too much time on the ball. The amount of times we aimlessly head the ball in the air instead of bringing it down or looking for a team mate was unbelievable. I'm all for giving Slade a chance with his new signings but at the moment I can't see what his tactics are for the life of me.

Marshall should have gone in the summer, if we are relying on him to save points in this division we are in trouble anyway. Moore looks as if he is capable of replacing Marshall and let's be honest Marshall hasn't been great this season. He's been a great servant to City and hope he goes on to bigger and better things (not to sit on a bench). As for Fabio we may need to balance the books but he had been one of the very few positives, there's others who have been poor I'd have got rid of first. But Slade won't play him, whoever decision that is, so he won't be a massive loss.

Can't agree about Malone, as I thought his positioning was pretty decent overall and I only saw Turner and Morrison screaming at Noone, as he failed to track a runner. Malone did dive in on a couple of occasions without winning the ball though, which is Fabio's biggest weakness, making him such a poor defender, so hopefully Malone can learn from that, which is something Fabio has failed to do!

I agree about Revell and Marshall totally though! :ayatollah:

Considering he hasn't played with any of our players before, and only arrived last week, I thought Malone did fine - naturally left footed, willing to tackle, decent pace, looks like a proper defender. Even has a nice Peaky Blinders hairdo

Revell also did well when he came on - very willing to work, got involved I thought and comfortable on the ball.

On the whole both did well, and as others have commented probably a massive amount less pay than other 'stars'.

Don't get me wrong all in all Malone did ok, as a first appearance, but is by no means better than what we already have in John and Fabio. Both John and Fabio have had stick for positioning in the past and from Saturday, and comments from Millwall fans prior to the weekend, Malone looks like he's of the same mold.

Hopefully be proved wrong and will always support him as long as he has a City shirt on his back.

Looked like he wouldn't pull out of a tackle, made a couple of good interceptions Sat, and gave 100% for 90 minutes and that's all we/I want to see. KTC wasn't the best full back we've ever had but always gave 100% and would never give up a lost ball, would run to the death, got plenty of time for players like that.

We will miss them both but we can obviously do with the money and the reduction in the wage bill due to our terrible financial situation.

Does anyone know actually how much we are in debt in total?
