What do mean by 'get him to make a push towards debt for equity'?

He's said he will, and shouldn't need an ego-boosting chant in order to make it official.

He had absolutely no requirement to do debt to equity now he has given blue back in my opinion.

GSO - one mistake? Are you serious. Can u remember the repeated insults and the way he spoke about us and our traditions. The pure arrogance of him and continued disregard for our wishes. Or have you forgotten after one clever business move? It took him a while but he finally realised that he couldn't win, fan power prevails. I'm not going to jeer him and yes I've moved on what's done is done, but idolise him and sing his name? That's just embarrassing.

Idolise him, no. But we have to move forward as one and that includes letting him know that we can move on

Absolutely no chance from me. Some of us might be happy to worship Tan as a hero now, but I will personally not forgive Tan so easily for the torture he has put me through. People like Dalman and Choo are the proper heroes for getting that egotistical dictator to eventually see sense and undo the damage he caused to our club for the past 2 and a half seasons.

Well you could look at it a different way. If you truly believe he took us for a ride, why not reverse the process and suck up to him in order to take as much of his fortune as you can to make our team and club better.

Can't you even see it from that angle.

If anyone hasn't learnt a lesson from all of this, its posters that still think they can gain anything for Cardiff City by continuing with the negativity towards Tan.

But I'm not going to be negative to Tan. I'm not going to boo him or sing anti Tan songs now we're back in blue. All I said in my post was I will still refuse to cheer for him. The OP's suggestion of singing a song to glorify Tan wrecking our club for the past 2 and a half seasons and then correcting his mistake is absolutely ridiculous imo. It certainly doesn't make him a hero in my eyes anyway.

He saved up from being wound up in court
He give huge transfer budgets
Got rid of Cardiff Blues
Paid off all our creditors
Expanded the stadium

The one very bad decision he has made had just been reversed......

He has hardly wrecked the club!

I'm fully behind us fans tickling Tan's ego if it means continued investment in the club, generous billionaires are hard to come by!

You have to view all his reticence against the backdrop of mass insults. Think back to some of the things that were suggested and even carried out; songs, name calling, writing to newspapers here and in his own country, writing to the clubs sponsors, boycotts, refusing merchandise and generally being nasty to him in every way possible.

I'll ask the question again.......

What would you have done. I bet you wouldn't have carried on investing in the club and team like he did.

Looking back now my thoughts are thank god he didn't give up on us like most owners would have done. We'd be blue now and sunk.

Well I wouldn't have meddled with a clubs colours and crest in the first place so it's irrelevant but yes I agree with you in a sense, if he walked around the pitch I'd stand and clap him to say thankyou. Why the hell should we show gratitude to him for changing us to blue. We were blue anyway - he was the Muppet that fucked it up in the first place. He hasn't apologised for the initial rebrand yet, which he did at a whim because he could, so there more chance of platting fog than me singing the guys name.

And I still got a awful feeling we will be install for more issues going forward. He is a vengeful man, and he can use the story about his mother as much as he wants - he will be piased off about the return to blue. He just did it coz he had no choice due to lack of ST renewals.

I really hope I'm wrong, but unfortunately I'm still fearing the worst.

Was it Tan spouting red or dead? or did Tan simply say "it's red or I put my money elsewhere"?

Do you really feel that he is 'one of us'? Seriously?
He's a businessman who decided to 'invest' in our club ( though there has been NO investment, in the same way SH didn't actually 'invest' anything over and above his initial 2.5 million input). To gain respect you must first give respect. Tan showed nothing but disrespect to our support, though at least he's reversed his earlier stupid decision to rebrand us!

I'm almost certain threats to firebomb his house and rape his family members can't be classified as respect.

When he came here. he invested. It is fairly obvious that without that investment we would never have made the PL (Which a LOT of fans [not all] were happy to trade for our colours)

If you can find anything online about how vincent tan sent death threats out to fans then please do let me know.

You are evidently driven by a pro Tan agenda. If memory serves me, he received all sorts of negativity when he announced the rebrand, one or two shithouses thought they'd issue racist threats, which was disgusting and rightly investigated by the police. But your pathetic attempt to tar everyone who hated the rebrand with the same brush as that is disposable.

When tan first came to cardiff he was met with Malaysian flags and overwhelming friendliness, in case you forgot

It wasn't just one or two though... there were a number, on here, over social media, everywhere. Not everybody (nd I never said everybody, so I don't know where you go that from)

I do remember that we welcomed him with malaysian flags, but as is so often the case the few spoiled things for the lot of us.

If everybody had acted with a calm head instead of those who decided to go down the wrong path, he may have seen sense earlier.

I'm not saying Tan is blameless. He shouldn't have changed our colours, and he should have listened and seen what it meant to us... but to say I'm pro Tan just because I would prefer for our club to heal itself and move on seems a little absurd to me. I can just see that what our club needs right now is to heal itself, instead of keeping up this split between fans and owner.

Get a grip on what? All I've been saying is that we need to move forward as one instead of continuing to try and ostracize the owner.

I'm not saying we need to be singing "Tan is a legend" or anything similar, but we need to show him (and the rest of the bloody world) that we're not children and that we can suck it up and move on.

When did I tar everybody?

Just because I'm not saying how much of a wanker I think he is or that I want him out doesn't mean I'm taking part on ay communal cock sucking. I can just see that what our club needs right now is to heal itself, instead of keeping up this split between fans and owner.

I'm not getting into the 'he said this, she said that' bollocks but the fact is that the disrespect was started by tan when he basically forced through his rebrand by stealth, veiled threats to pull out and suggestions spread by one or two sycophants that the club would fold unless we agreed to take it up the rear and bite the pillow. Up until that point he had been given a right royal Welsh welcome. Notwithstanding what a couple of knobheads posted about his race following the announcement, it was followed with understandable ire by many city fans. Tan started disrespecting us and now he wants to be adored . he's getting no adoration from me friend

No cock sucking? You and maccydee have already got dirty knees mate. Now whipe yourselfs up and get a grip for gods sake!

We've moved on maturely already. He's had the positive press that he so desired. Dalman stressed how much 'respect and admiration' we had for tan during the meeting and he made that very public. That's called coming to terms with an arrangement. It doesn't require us to look like a bunch of fickle morons calling for his head one week and singing his name the next. It won't happen anyway mate, you try get one going youl just get a few strange looks
