agreed in principle but it's not that simple. At CCFC we as supporters have no influence whatsoever over finances so I don't understand why people make such a big deal over it?

If Tan pulls the plug and we sink then so be it - we were minutes from sinking before he stepped in anyway. If he sorts out the finances and turns all the debt into equity, again it's his choice. Nothing we can do about it whether people like it or not (and presumably 100% will welcome the decision).

My point is why make posts - and mainly hypothetical posts - about the debt as you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes (just like the rest of us in all honesty)?

(I'm not singling you out as other people post about the money too by the way. :ayatollah: )

Stop trolling. if you don't want to discuss it go elsewhere.

Why would any jack be concerned anyway? We are now cost cutting on bare bones signing the likes of Alex Revell and Scott Malone ffs.

Just stating a FACT. Hows Oz by the way. Or your back now ive heard.

Of course we do. We give the club millions each year, that is a direct impact on finances.

we were never minutes from going under as confirmed at the time. red or dead was a lie.

what do you mean about we don't know what is going on behind the scenes? there is no debt fairies waving their magic wands. we have no given Tan licence to scrap debt to equity plans.

From the statement earlier:
4. As the Chairman has explained, the debt to equity resolution is not straightforward.
We will deal with this in due course, with all decisions made in the best interest of the Club

That's what I meant by no one knows - all decisions made in the best interest of the Club...what is your take on that line? To me it's like the rest of the way the club is being run, things get sorted in time. So, if I am to believe what I've been told and there's a few issues with boardroom members to be rectified, once they have been taken care of then other things may well fall in to place?

Or is that not how you read it between the lines?

No that is not how I read it in the slightest. They didn't commit to anything at all. Even in the meeting last night, debt to equity was completely skipped over - there is a reason for that.

Now is the time for renewing and a boom in merchandise. Tan is not going to say "Now I have given the blue I am not converting" as he would be committing financial suicide.

I think now is the time City fans should start using our intelligence rather than being led down the garden path oblivious to everything and assuming everybody is doing things in the interests of the club. its time to learn from past mistakes and start looking at things objectively.

There seems to be a cycle here, and its continued to be shown on this thread if you look at some of the replies. a lot of head burying.

the same sort of head burying that went on when some were on here warning about the rebrand.

Think you are being a tad harsh on the head burying - I don't think many people are doing that, today I just genuinely think it feels like all the hard work many put in asking for the back to blue has paid off (whether it was always going to happen or not).

Re: Played Like Fiddles

Fri Jan 09, 2015 4:57 pm

If it was always going to happen then it was nothing to do with anybodies hard work.

I cannot believe the amount of people now actively willing to be oblivious to the now harrowing debt to equity situation, its these sort of people that deserve the club we have become.

This is how I see it.

Club is always most important. When Tan came in, like it or not, it was not red or dead. the clubs traditions were then more important than some Premier league whim.

that didn't happen and the fans decided on red.

now we are £150m in debt, that is now more important than our colours. if the choice is £150m in debt that we now owe and blue or a debt free club but red then surely red is now the correct decision.

depending on your point of view I guess. I'm not disagreeing one way or the other. My personal stance was that as long as was watching Cardiff City FC play then I didn't care what colour we played in as long as we had a club. I just think still to this day the whole rebrand thing was totally unecessary, divided many fans when really he could've kept the club playing in blue whilst having the respect he craved and effectively becoming idolised almost over night.

I also think he's been seriously badly advised and let down by a lot of his lackies.

Anyway, I'm just hoping this is the start and in time we can enjoy the games again. It won't happen over night but I'm hopeful IT WILL happen in time.
