If I am a glory hunter as you suggest don't you think I would have supported another club rather than Cardiff City. I do however regard myself as a football fan. I go to matches to watch football rather than to watch a fashion parade. My wife is more interested than I am in the colours/designs that people wear.

you are obviously not grasping what I'm getting at, you said if the football is good in red you will be there but if the football is crap in blue then you won't, what I am saying is that although I would love to have the good football I will never support the red even if we were in the champions league every season so I respect the identity of the club I love whether the football is crap or good, you on the other hand will only go if the football is good in whatever colour the team plays in and if they play crap then you wont, that to me equals a glory hunter. You should support the team in their rightful colours no matter how they play because if they are playing crap then that is when they need your support, just like the good old 70's, 80's and 90's when we were really shite. Just saying like

Don't tempt me.

That's a high number of our fans else we would have had 25k in league two and one.

This maybe a bad signing, but if the club is to develop and progress in a sustainable way, buying promotion again is not the answer. In this sense, I see the logic of scouting for bargains. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Slade out but now that he has been given the chance to buy who he wants (within reason), let him do it!

We need hard working scouts and spotters, not an Argos catalogue and chequebook. The most important thing is to get the fans reunited. We have to remember that when Cardiff were in the lower leagues, any anger was always directed at the opposition, not each other. Tomorrow's meeting could be a watershed in the history of the club. If a demotion occurs this year (actually I feel that mid-table is probably where we are going), I will be happy if the colour change happens, season tickets go like hot cakes, merchandising runs out every week and the stadium is bouncing.

Let's get back to the values of the club, where money is important but not the be-all and end-all. Work hard to clear debts and take back the club one seat at a time.

Perversely, if Tan changes his mind, far from losing face, I think he will go up in fans' estimations. He won't become a hero, but his villainous image will certainly soften. If the atmosphere returns at the home games, I'm sure the club will go from strength to strength.

If it's part of going back to blue it's a price well worth paying. I never agreed to the red bribe in the first place and neither did most of the people I know. It's not a time for recriminations but I find it hard to forgive some of our so-called fan representatives.

Re: " Cardiff City fans react angrily to "

Wed Jan 07, 2015 8:17 pm

It's all a false economy anyway.

The quality players we have been watching have been bought with money that has been loaded onto the club as debt. Totally unsustainable.

Even if we stayed red (please god no) I wouldn't want us to carry on as we are as we'll end up with £200m debt in no time. Actually, if we stay red I won't care because I probably won't renew.

Getting the spending under control is the right thing to do regardless. And if it's part of the deal to go back to blue, I'll be delighted.

Appointing Slade was a step in the right direction, a reality check for a majority of our mornic fan base who expect too much.

It's funny how people who wanna be back to blue and are really strong about will complain about be linked with these players, greedy.

We have to get rid of staff at all areas of the club to cut costs.

You wanna know why this is? Because of a Scottish knobhead who couldn't handle money when it was given to him and was too busy taking backhanders and throwing price tags and wages at all costs.

Malky has played a massive role in our financial mess and screwing our club over and it is beyond me our supporters will idolise him.

Writing a player off before he's even signed, brilliance.

If your annoyed by the players we are linked with or anything financially then look no further if you want to blame someone because it's 99% Malky.

Slade ain't going for these players out of his preference.

Well said young man !!!!!

Javi's contract was proably quite complicated based upon appearances and goals, after the Bournmouth game should he have been rewarded with bonuses ?
Carl dale, Stant who were they with before they signed for us ? Who the hell do we think we are nowadays ? Big time Charlies. Well we won't be anymore. Vinnie is closing his cheque book and I am happy. Live within our means, develop our kids and find bargains - proper football.......

Hopefully in blue, f*cking bring it on!

Blue/bluebird badge is the way forward and tightening the purse strings and getting back to some sense of reality is also the way forward. I for one can't wait to return. I don't miss the premier league because I wasn't there to see it, I don't miss winning the Championship because I wasn't there for that either, I do however miss the honesty and integrity of players like Jason Perry, Carl Dale, Phil Stant, Paul Ramsey, etc. and the realism and passion instilled by Eddie May and Frank Burrows.

It's great to win and advance up the leagues but it'd be gratifying to see Cardiff City Football Club try and achieve that within it's means, with it's true identity, a few home grown players that appreciate what it means to represent the Welsh Capital side, with a passionate fanbase all pulling in the same direction, succeed or fail. :bluescarf:

Dagenham eh. If Tan pulls the plug you may have to settle for Aberystwyth or Connah's Quay. If you're lucky.

they play in the Welsh league so there's no chance of playing either of them teams even if Tan pulls the club as FC Cardiff or the like will be formed and will be allowed back into the English pyramid system because of our history, ala Newport County, so not a problem to me but maybe for you as "you don't want to watch crap football" in blue

Why?? Tan still has to find a buyer he's going to make sure the club is at least some sort of attraction to proposed buyers, your making out there's nothing after tan and that's balls but that's what some would like u to believe,so what if we're a league one side at least we'll be our club again
