The people protesting looked like they were 15/16 years old just there to show off to their friends. The same group of people who were protesting shouted "you're just a shit Barry Island" at the Colchester fans... Never knew Colchester was by the coast to be honest...

The banners supporters I had seen looked a bit older than 16

But granted there were some odd protesters that have been reading a few to many rambo books and not enough geographical ;)

Probably less than 10 years

What has how long she's been a fan got to do with it? I share her opinion that all the negative people stayed at home, but I've been supporting Cardiff longer than 10 years.

Can't believe I read that rubbish.

I certainly have no problem with woman and football but the eggo don't help with the people they get.

So how long do you have to be a supporter before you're allowed to have an opinion?

The truth? 1 minute.

That is what makes football such an entertaining and addictive sport. If you take it to the nth degree, nobody's opinion would matter except for the oldest or longest serving supporter.

If we want people to support the club, they shouldn't feel intimidated by the fact that they are new to it. We should do everything to welcome and embrace fans and their points of view. After all, a fresh pair of eyes can often see things previously hidden.

Just saying

Very true but certainly not here.

First time I've ever agreed to a post of yours I think.
But your right. So many people banging on about 40 odd years a supporter, so what about the 'new' fans? Everybody has to start somewhere.

Saying that, she talking bollocks.

Completely agree. it is utter bollocks (and i find myself sweating slightly agreeing with you on something). BUT it's clear from even the writing style that, shall we say, she has youth on her side. She may not have been a supporter for 50 years but there's no need to start saying her opinion counts for nothing,

She may have been going to games "since she was a kid with her dad" the same as somebody here who did the same thing 30 years ago. she only has so much of her life to give

Can't believe I wasted my time reading that rubbish. hopefully that's the last time she's given the chance to write, the Echo must be desperate these days.

A "rare goal" for Kenwyne Jones? He's our top scorer for Christ sake.

"The blue army" - it's sad when a term used by CCFC fans to describe themselves is used by a fellow fan to deride a certain set of supporters.

She does also realise Turner was captain only because DAVE the Save wasn't playing? :?

I've nothing against the Echo having a pro-Tan columnist - it's provides balance... But for Christ sake, get someone who actually has half and idea of what they're on about!

Some of the negative crowd have to work. Missed the reading game because of it which I would have gone too. Missed this coz of work but would not have gone as a protest anyway.
