we're in dire need of a dedicated left back, and at over 6 foot he could be an asset to our back four

but as usual, we're faaaaaaaar too good and high brow a team to sign anybody who's not ronaldo or christian bale...

The Dark Knight could be a brilliant signing.

Yeah :laughing6: maybe he'll bring robin up front as well :laughing6:
Seriously tho the guy deserves a chance

I really was hoping Declan John would have a few games on his belt, he was brilliant last night with his pace but not the best of defending! Let's hope this Malone can defend also be that missing link we are after!

I always believe in giving owners, managers and players a chance when they arrive at our club :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Forgive me for being slightly sceptical, but Slade has only ever shopped in the bargain basement and his first signing happens to have the same agent as him. I think we can see where this is going

Sadly seen enough of Declan in the last two games to realise there is no chance he will make it as a top notch defender. Could still make a winger mind.

Probably been scouted more than Ole's players, I take it Slade is going with a dossier approach more like Malky (before the premiership mishaps), looking at the character, and how they will fit in with the group...........

Not sure it will work, not an inspiring signing, but let's give him a chance.......

I'm in the 10%

As am I. I'm also in the 1% that won't chant against Russell slide because he still deserves a chance. Why can't we just sing his name and show we're all in it together?

Russell Slide is more of an apt name.

No interest in supporting him, don't like him and want him out.

that's a great mentality. I'm sure that will be a GREAT help to the team.

Slade is building his team now so to be fair lets judge his new players and the team when hes done his transfers in january.
Slades had a hard time what hes come into although I think he was the wrong choice as manager but we have to give him a chance now hes here to put his stamp on things.
Its worrying me big time.

So Slade is cutting the wage bill and building a solid championship team for cheap. We are complaining why????

Welcome Scott Malone, prepare to be booed and jeered by the modern Cardiff City fan.

It's been reported in the press that Cardiff City have made two separate bids for left back Scott Malone, and Millwall have presumably accepted the second offer as we have now confirmed we have given the player permission to talk terms with them.

The press speculate that the second offer is in the region of £100,000 for the 23 year old.

The statement carried on the official site reads.

'Millwall can confirm that Scott Malone has been given permission to talk to Cardiff City about a permanent transfer. The left back will discuss personal terms and undergo a medical over the coming days.'

Malone came to us from Bournemouth back in the summer of 2012, and has made 65 starting appearances for us, with a further six appearances from the bench. He has also found the net on five occasions.

His last appearance for us came in the two nil defeat by Bournemouth in the final fixture of 2014.
