who the hell do you think you are?

whilst you were sat on your arse, probably whining on here, they were out there at probably the lowest point of CCFC in the past 10 years, passionately campaigning for a return to blue.

Spot on :thumbright:

All credit to the fans for protesting in the stadium yesterday especially in the face of bully boy tactics by police and stewards.

Would like someone to call me a scab for going to the game, fair play to those who went and demonstrated and got noticed.

It does make me laugh that people get outraged at people thrown out due to the banners.

If it were a nightclub and you went in with "[owner's name] is a crap club owner" I'm fairly sure you'd get the same treatment. And everybody would say "well, they had it coming wearing that"

I totally support the tan out movement... but I'm fairly sure 99% of business owners would do the same... our club is not a special little snowflake...

Next people will be thrown out for shouting criticism at players or the manager.

You dont support a Night Club, You support a Football Club, they mean something to you,you care about a football club, you grow up supporting them and its your passion and love that makes you hurt when things go wrong.

How you can compare that with a night Club is beyond belief. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

As a business model.

It's actually not a bad analogy. There are some nightclubs in a very similar situation. Yes, I agree the support is the I portsnt word, but tan is not thinking about support, he is only thinking of us as customers (and that's all we will ever be to him)

Nightclub has run for 50 years, known as a rock venue. Sells cheap drinks blah blah. Good crew of regular people go there every week, meet their friends, see the same old bands play there, have a ruddy good time. But the club is losing money.

New owner buys the club. Completely changes the decor, and the athmos of the club. A few of the old faithful stop goi g, because the place isn't the best any more by a long shot... but loads still go. The new owner, a prick though he is, has a lot of cash, and now though the whole feel of the place is quite different he is getting in some big bands to play, foo fighters, big new bands and even some old favourites like maiden and sabbath...

Even some some people (rightly perhaps) think the guy is an asshat for changing the club they have loved since they started going there in their youth and it won't be the same any more... que guy wearing management offensive tshirt

The reason I used a nightclub as an analogy is because it does have supporters in a sense. There isn't quite the love you get with football... but it's maybe halfway there and working in a bar similar to the one mentioned here for about a decade makes the connection for me.

As mentioned, I completely support the tan out movement. And those who do take these banners in deserve more credit for knowing they will get thrown out of a game they have paid to see. I just find it funny that people get outraged over something thst ANY business owner would do (and I'm fairly sure It's happened in a fair few football clubs recently)

In terms of your analogy of a night club your not far wrong the thing is there's no big bands just a bunch of shit trying to make a living

Agreed, I haven't been since the re-brand but if you are going to continue going, surely you have to respect people who are prepared to put themselves on the line for a protest?

I would have thought there would have been a better chance of getting on TV with the crowd being so low....shame on the BBC for not showing it....I don't see how anyone can criticise people going to the game with the express reason being to unfurl a protest banner......

At the end of the day we went and we showed them that even with most of the fans gone from the game we are the next generation who will continue to support the club for God knows how many years into the future and In my opinion I think that shows what they have coming when the next generation as everyone knows how easy it is for young lads like us to get a mob together to get down there and at the end of the day WE ARE BACK IN BLUE we will have to change the protest March before Derby into a a March of support and a Celebration March for getting out identity back
