I have just spoken to Solicitors, if a Banner or Sign just says " TAN OUT " No swearing/No threats etc, then they have No right to stop you.
Also as long as No poles etc so they cant say are weapons.
In fact every fan should video them and if they touch you, they have committed the offence :thumbright:

And yes we should show our feelings, its our beliefs for the Club We Love :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

If lots of banners are organised and they cause a scene the stewards are fucked then arnt they.
Phones to the ready.

Correct :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Looks like my previous post was a pretty good idea then Annis. The more evidence you gather, the less they will want to get physical. The reason they don't take BLUE scarves off fans is because it is part of the away kit at the moment and there are too many to deal with. If every fan had a Tan Go poster, they couldn't deal with it, simple as that really.

By the way Annis: "No Poles" - A bit racist!

Blue scarfs one side "TAN OUT" on the other, turn them around to tan out at 1927 10000 of them would cause the stewards problems :bluescarf:

...... Or poly pockets, each containing 6 A4 sheets with separate letters spelling T A N O U T. Circulate the packs and just hand the papers to people sitting round you. Cheaper than a banner, disposable and hard to trace. Also as stewards arrive, who do they blame, especially if you start passing the letters down the line!! Best thing is it is a silent protest so doesn't distract the players on the field. Can also be done at away games where the stewards are 100% going to allow it, especially if televised.

What do you think BLUEbirds? :bluescarf:

They have then had them snatched of them, taken from them and threatened with being banned or ejected, when City fans have asked surely its our right, many have been told orders from the Stadium management.

" SURELY WE ARE ALLOWED FREEDOM OF SPEECH & THIS SHOWS CARDIFF CITY ARE DICTATING TO OUR FANS? "

Annis, I'm not sure what solicitors you have been speaking with but the banners are NOT freedom of speech, they are in law classified as freedom of expression, this is covered by european law and under that law the right to freedom of expression is qualified by such restrictions as are necessary "for the protection of the reputation and rights of others." That means that the law does not guarantee the right to publish defamatory statements that injure others' reputations.
I think this is where Tan is coming from.

with freedom of speech comes responsibility. a simple tan out banner is neither abusive nor an abuse of the responsibility of free speech.

as FB said, it is no different to holding up a sign outside parliament saying david cameron out. you may not agree with the message but that is not the point. taking away the banner drives a further wedge between the club and the fans, with the stewards clearly showing where their loyalties lie, which is all they are achieving by trying to smother free speech. shame on them.

You can't say that, they are getting paid to do a job!! Nothing to do with loyalties

Ok Annis, fair enough, that may have been a little strong, but it isn't a freedom of speech issue, I just felt the thread was designed just to antagonise people. We're all frustrated with the situation at City, and I do believe Tan is taking the piss, but if we were playing well and top of this league, do you really think there would be all this shit hitting the fan. No there wouldn't.That's a fact. Which just goes to show how hypercrtical most of the fans on here are.Tan lobs in £100m apparently when he thinks the fans have accepted his plans, and yet no one has stood up and said they were the ones to support /accept it.Sorry but you don't throw that sort of money at something on a rumour or hear say from someone. So that may indicate that someone on our side isn't being totally honest. what do think? I really don't know what to believe any more.

how is 'tan out' abusive?

this thread is about the fans right to portray their views that they want tan out of the club. the abuse that tan is a c**t is not the issue in question here.

why are fans allowed to chant that we want tan out, but not put it on a banner as a visual message? you must be consistent here and ban both if you think one is abusive.

Why do you get to decide what is or isn't acceptable? It's Tan's dinner table. If he wants to throw people out for chanting 'Tan out.' Just like Annis can ban people on here for using the # symbol if he wants.

excuse me, i am a paying customer (i pay £689 for my seat) and so the club cannot throw me out without justification. 'tan out' is not abusive in any way, and aside from being a heavy handed way to treat a customer, this is a long term fan of their club they are dealing with.

effectively, what the club are trying to do with the anti tan sentiment is suffocate it and stick their fingers in their ears. you may think they are perfectly entitled to do that, but this is a first world country and i expect the fans to be treated with a basic level of respect that includes the right to protest and portray opinions in a non offensive way, without having possessions seized without justification.

Would you agree you stopped his 'freedom of speech'? Or banned him because he was a rude and maybe hazardous guest?

I disagree with you,I believe our fans have a right to speak out and you wont change my opinion :thumbright: :thumbright:

This isn't an opinion though it's fact, no one has the right to yell fire in a crowded theatre. No one should be able to come into your house and yell at you if you don't want them too, like it or loath it CCS is Vincent Tan's house.

Tan is a Dictator the way he runs our club and thats my strong opinion and belief :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I just think dictator is a tan inflammatory tan runs the club like a tw*t and has done some seriously shit things actual dictators do this: http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/392 ... ving-state personal opinion is its over the line that's all.

Our fans feel the club is part of their lives and rightly so,some live and breath Cardiff City, our club is part of the community and fans have a right to say how they feel :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

No one is saying they can't but that there are consequences depending on the location.

how is 'tan out' abusive?

this thread is about the fans right to portray their views that they want tan out of the club. the abuse that tan is a c**t is not the issue in question here.

why are fans allowed to chant that we want tan out, but not put it on a banner as a visual message? you must be consistent here and ban both if you think one is abusive.

UNFORTUNATELY your inside private property so club as the right to remove anything/body they deem as causing a nuisance or danger to other people! its not right but its their parogative :o same in pub cinema ect ect

and as i pointed out yesterday spurs and blackpool did similar things in fact pool ejected some fans!!! :old:

look, i just i expect the fans to be treated as adults, with a basic level of respect. whether or not other clubs do that is immaterial, all i care about is my club.

i also have the legal right to be rude to people, but that doesn't mean i do that, because that would make me an arsehole. likewise the clubs, though acting legally, are arseholes for removing a harmless and inoffensive banner.

During the first season post-rebrand I carried out a little experiment. I wore my blue City top to half the home games and not the others. At my "blue" games I was searched EVERY TIME on my way into the ground. On the other half I was searched a grand total of ZERO times.

It throughly pissed me off that loyal fans with no intention of causing trouble were treated as criminals, just for wearing the blue of Cardiff City. Wrote a letter of complaint to the club, but obviously heard bugger all back!!

well you could call them that but doesnt alter fact they have right to confiscate items they deem a nuisance ect in their building! you do same if someone had something you objected to in your house? as for other clubs just making point we are not only ones doing it and one is worse than us!!

what next, is chanting "tan out", a nuisance? remember, all the banner is doing is putting those words onto a piece of canvas.

do the club have the legal right to demand all fans wear muzzles so they can't chant anything they regard as being a 'nuisance'? let me guess!

Annis if someone started posting obscene things, or things you didn't like about you on this message board you'd ban them and/or stop them, and rightly so. Inside that stadium that Tan up keeps and pays for it's his dinner table we're dining at and he has the right to stop things that he doesn't like. We might not like it, but to act like its a freedom of speech issue is laughable.

Absolutely correct, The thread is just bollox and designed to stir up people, most of which can't see the smoke for the trees. embarrassing really......

"Can't see the smoke* for the trees"??? Really???

In that case, I'm SMOKEville Willie.

Maybe the fans need to be stirred up. It's a pity it didn't happen a long time ago to be honest in my opinion. :old:

I agree it's embarrassing. To think that you see nothing wrong with the gagging of genuine feelings from a substantial number of fans. How many supporters do you see holding up pro-Tan placards? NONE!!

Have a word with yourself and try not to mix your metaphors while you're at it!

Cat got your tongue Bobby?

Smoke - wood - trees?!

Call yourself a Cardiff fan - you're a f*cking joke!

Annis clubs/stadiums can reserve the right to remove banners, horns etc As apart of your contract in purchasing a ticket.

Does Cardiff do this? Dunno but I'd imagine most do.

http://www.wembleystadium.com/TheStadiu ... egulations

- Wembley Stadium reserves the right to confiscate flags if they are very large or may compromise public safety, obscure someone’s view, a camera position or if a flag carries offensive, discriminatory or inflammatory messaging
Read more at http://www.wembleystadium.com/TheStadiu ... 6KaTM4x.99

Personally anti tan stuff is irrelevant when the man Is not there, news in Malaysia yes, but old news by now. Look ast Blackpool halted a game with oranges and tennis balls, their dick of an owner is still there. If he ever watches again ramp up the heat banners, signs, blue balls (nehehehehehe) on the pitch to halt the game.

Of course they do,but regarding the Tan stuff this is ordered by Tans arse lickers, not by Tan and I feel its unfair,Fans should have a right to show their feelings. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

surely if hundreds of us have posters and signs saying tan out, always be blue etc.. they couldn't take them all off us every one needs to unite
