What I was saying Pemboke in that post was I feared if we got promoted that a lot of fans would renew, but would not if we stayed down. Also that I feared that if he was to give a generous discount then again many would renew. The thing that effects Tan is his standing and how people see him. If they were to see fans abandon the Club it would look bad on him. If he took the hit of a few million by reducing the season tickets and the uptake was good. To him he would see that as a vote of confidence for his re brand. And to show he was right. To him that would be money well spent IMO.

Thats why said your right to fear! I do know that certain part of ground will see drop in ST prices next season, don't know price but 100%will be reduced! so maybe this is his thinking especially with protests planned.

There are plenty of 'New' Cardiff City fans waiting in the wings if the price is right......

Look at how many plastic manure/libpool fans live in and around South Wales....if they could see premiership football on a regular basis, if the price was right, they certainly would take up Tans offer....

They would leave pretty quickly too, if the football wasn't up to scratch but I live in London and there are a hell of a lot of people who go to Chelsea & arsenal these days who hadn't been to a football match ever 10 years ago....

We are talking about a completely different breed of supporter from the vast majority of this board....not the type to support a team good or bad but the sort who ONLY go to be entertained.....I know a number of people who live in Cardiff who feel like this and aren't bothered by the re-brand in the slightest.....

Sad but true...

I hope we find someone to buy Tan out although I can't see any reason why someone would want to buy our club while we are doing shit in the championship, have heaps of debt and thousands of angry fans.

If I was cashed up and wanted a Premiership club or one with potential I'd be looking as Aston Villa.

I worry that any new takeover would lead to disaster. That said, I'd rather risk disaster than have this remarkably disrespectful Tan wanker running our club.

He has wasted millions on shit managers, shit signings and pissing off his customers.

I wonder if he knows that most British people who've heard of him think he's a dickhead.

Re: ' Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive '

More chance of Tan getting a buyer if we go up. More chance that we'd be left with less debt when he leaves if we go up, more chance the buyer will be a credible one of we go up and not just a chancer gambling borrowed money.

Plenty of wealthy people interested in Prem football, big money to be made there. Championship football is a money pit where you have to subsidise the club and hope you can get promoted.

A ground full of blue is just as embarrassing to Tan as an empty one.

Agree about the ground being blue.

More chance if promoted, feasible but just as good a chance with a club in our situation. Recall Birmingham, Karen Brady, Barry Fryer etc etc.

True, not 'no chance' but a far better chance. Also times have moved on since Barry Fry and the financial gap between the Prem and the Championship is enormous now

Tans asking price is the real problem here.

However he only has himself to blame. Why he never took more interest when we first got to the premier is beyond me. He can't sell the club unless he gets a reasonable figure offered to him. If the debt was around the figure when we got to the premier he would have been gone by now.

Hopefully it comes to fruition but don't see (Mexican) involved in it!

These things are never published until there is solid evidence like one of the investors seen at the ground.

Also other investors will not make a move until they know what they are up against. This is why no other investors except that Steele guy came forward when Tan was first on the scene. Tans men just laughed at Steele as they knew he was no match for them.

Annis I have never gone for the safe updates I have said what I have heard without the proof. Malky text gate, the managerial position I gave those up dates on how it was happening at the time and what I said was a 100% correct as they happened. The situation regarding Tan ,Roader and Slade I am spot on with that. But I have no proof to back it up. In the future it may come out it may not. With this thread I am only saying what I have been told and by two different people as well so I know there is truth in this. And like you Annis I will not say who they are because we need one of them to succeed even though those candidates are not ideal in any way, but anyone is better than Vinny tw*t.

Sam has Cardiff City in his heart but it is worrying if he wants Langston involved.

Dalmen I have no idea why he would be interested in us but what ever the reason I would reckon it is because out of all the "investor" he would produce the big bucks guy if there is one out there.

Barrie Hearn would look at Cardiff as a step up for his CV after Orient. Vastly experienced in sporting circles and beside making millions himself has made others millionaires who he could call upon.

Craig Bellamy most likely looking make that upward step for his academy in Africa.

Dave Jones most likely to piss me off.
