It may only be a song but that sort of proves my point. Plenty of people on this forum think it's enough to just have a song and a scarf and Tan will eventually cave in. Tan will just ignore these "protests" because those protesting will have already paid to enter the stadium.

We both know that he can rely on people filling those empty seats if the club starts to play well again, red shirts n all!

Would that invalidate this conversation or would blind hatred just make it easier to ignore anything I said, regardless of it's worth?

I'm not disagreeing with what you said, only stating that we did protest while in Premier League

Why are you on a Cardiff City board anyway? Serious question

If it's a serious question I will give you a genuine answer.

I don't post on here very often and I do post occasionally on the Swansea city forums when I can be bothered.

The reason why I'm posting on this topic is because I'm giving my two cents on how ineffective waving scarves will be for getting the blue back. It's funny watching Cardiff in red but to be honest Cardiff should play in blue. The 3-0 win would have been better had you been playing in blue.

Fair enough.
It's not funny for a lot of us.
I will march and protest but personally behind some bigger action coming up soon! Action that the Club will have to listen to
and i've already got 1000's behind it.
I've finally come to realise that putting money in won't help but I couldn't walk away from the Team and Club three seasons ago, in hindsight, I wish I did but never too late to fight for what you believe in, eh?

You'd do the same if you were in our shoes and trust me, we'd find it funny aswell.
You know it's bad when a Jack said we should be in Blue

Well the Swans have had a similar case, although our debt was considerably less. We drove Tony Petty out of the club and he was so intimidated he didn't feel safe in the city. He sold up to a consortium of fans and the Supporters Trust is a vital member of our set up.

Don't buy their lies and promises of glory. Be humble, self sufficient and proud of whatever our club can achieve, no matter how small that achievement may be.

Any swans fan will say they'd love to see you go under and I don't believe it for a second. They will say "f*ck them" and we do believe that you reap what you sew but if it came to you lot disappearing we would miss you.

When Cardiff city became red the club became a different one to the one we love to beat and it was a little disappointing.

Right I've got to go pick relatives up from the train station. I might check back in later after a baileys.

Well Tan doesn't seem to want to come to the CCS these days.

Tan is a different kettle of fish to Petty and our problem is a lot bigger than what you were up against. Most of my Jack mates always asked me why we did not boycott or more to the point why did not I at first. That question crossed my mind many times and now I am convinced staying was the right thing to do. You see Tan could quite easily live without any fans in our stadium. To a degree I could argue it could be to his advantage. Prime example would be no fans therefore no catering profit for the 3rd party who run that bit. Tan wants that business and that would have been one way to get it.

You see once Tan would have got rid of us he would have dropped the admission tickets to say £5 and attracted new supporters who would not have cared less for the colour. Sounds a bit far fetched but he is rich enough to support a scheme like that. ST money is circa £4m absolutely nothing to him.

Keeping the stadium fab base blue has been a great achievement under difficult circumstances.

Brilliance. These things only come about once the club are going off the book on the field. When we went up it was all cheery and no-one made a huge fuss but it's embarrassing because these protests are only brought up once we go off the book on the pitch. These protests should have been happening on a consistent basis not once every blue moon. Same when we went down, I would love to see all this on here if we was sitting in top 6 and pushing for automatic, not a chance you'd see all this.

I love the jack comparison with petty, couldn't be more different. Did he even take over? Did he actually put any real money in? You were bottom of league 2 at the time and no one even noticed outside Wales or even Swansea. Sure he didn't come back to Swansea but Tan had already invested millions and potentially saved us from going under after as all jacks know years of debts, courts etc... Besides many of the fans who might have run Tan out, even though we have police and stuff in the capital so that sort of behaviour just isn't possible in the civilised world, don't go anymore. They wouldn't have done anything different and nor would Leeds or Pompey or any other club. It didn't halp that certain high profile fans went along with the rebrand but that is it.

It is however time to up it a bit, marches etc ok but now is the time to not go in the ground, sure fans have already paid but hanging around making noise outside would have to appeal and the plod would hate it. Tan would have to do something. :bluescarf:

Crickey you're bitter. It's Christmas time! Chill out.

Petty did actually buy the club and we had to buy it off of him so I don't know why you think that he wasn't actually involved in the running of our club.

Also the events with Petty made regional and national news so I don't know why you think no one noticed outside of Swansea, as if that would make the events any less relevant or significant anyway! And yes it was completely lawless in Swansea way back in 2001 and that's the only way we were able to drive that money grabbing Australian away!

Our debt at the time was around 2 million pounds compared to your 150 million pounds plus so obviously it's not a like for like comparison.

Your problem as a club is that it's been so badly mismanaged by people including Sam, the Riddler and Tan that the debt is too huge and you're going to be reliant on a wealthy backer.

If you hadn't had delusions of grandeur about being bigger than Barcelona then you're debts wouldn't be so high. That's what happens when you allow chairmen to rack up huge debts against the club or pay Robbie Fowler 20K a week. You've chased the premier league dream for so long the chickens are coming home to roost.

The destruction of the blue shirt was the price of success and most of you were happy to pay it. Tan was able to exploit the club because it was in financial ruin. The club was in financial ruin because you gambled and lost for so long.

These problems stem from way before Tan and TG rolled into town selling the monorail.

I've been on all previous marches, the only time I've been near the stadium since handing my season ticket back when red was announced. Pretty sick of the stares and abuse I got walking back from those matches too after not going in. The marches make NO difference. A boycott is the only way. If more than 70 of us had handed back our season tickets 2 and half years ago we'd have never seen the red home kits that have been a shit-stain on the history of the club.

The ambivalence was there for all to see when the team were flying in Championship, photos of the last time Cardiff played Brighton at home made me sick to my stomach. Comments like "Well I've waited (insert number here) years to watch my team play in the top division" and "Once we are in the Premier League you'll come crawling back" apparently justified the change to red.

Marching and waving a scarf at 19:27 are commendable but to Emperor Tan utterly pointless. BOYCOTT! A few games sacrificed to get your club back as it should be forever. It is a very difficult decision to take and it really hurts but it is the ONLY way because VT is still convinced it is a vocal minority that want blue. Even he would struggle to defend a near-empty stadium (though he'd probably blame it on the current team performances and to a degree judging by past actions he may have a point). :sad7:

May have to go to the Brighton game then, that's the important one. Will be my first home game this season, hopefully I'll be able to stay the 90 minutes. Walked out at half time last time we played them at home :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Agree with you. Think there are plenty who hate the blue and what Tan has done to the club, but they don't hate things quite enough to put up the same sort of fight as those who have stopped handing their cash to Tan.

I fully agree mate and yes, I've had the stares as I walk back into Canton after a "demo."

I'm so disappointed with this new round of protests. "Thousands of supporters are expected to attend this peaceful but passionate demonstration" and will then walk up and attend the game as usual. Pathetic. When will people realise that non-attendance is the minimum required to get Tan's attention?

As for Blue Tuesday...........well that's really gonna rock the Club to its foundations.

Much more radical action required people.

I can understand adults going to the games because they don't want to disappoint their children who are too young to know what all the fuss is about, but I can't get my head around fans who hate Tan and everything he has done, but yet still hand their money over to him every season. I will attend any marches, but don't think it will make any difference to someone who will be half way around the world, and will probably just smile when he is told we've been holding another demo in favour of a return to blue.

sorry... i wont be marching at all

have to agree with that, I support any action against Tan but what you said is the truth, marching & sitting down to watch the game doesn't sit right with me as a non-season ticket holder.

I will be on the protest march again , but have decided I can't go to the games any longer , simply I don't like it or enjoy it anymore , breaks my heart , never felt this way before in over 40 years ,before people start saying you should support the team whatever why would I if i don't enjoy the experience ,through the previous bad times I always still had the excitement and enjoyment but unfortunately no longer . Thank you for that Mr Tan you are a bully and a despot and soon you will be found out and humiliated by your own people , the sooner the better . :old: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I wouldn't call ACTION from day one of his announcement laying down and watching the club go to pot. I wouldn't call attending all previous marches and many meetings against the red laying down and watching the club go to pot.

These marches and demonstrations have had NO affect on VTs stance as proven by his little 'pep talk' yesterday. That will continue. A boycott however would make him look a fool to the media and would hurt him a lot more. As I've said previously, it isn't easy, it hurts but some times you've got to hurt yourself for the betterment of the club, something I've been willing to do since the moment the fiasco started in May 2012 but I'm glad you've joined the cause. :bluescarf:

Once again a plea has been made to Vincent Tan for Cardiff to return to the traditional blue kit for next season, our original badge to be restored and questions answered about the clubs financial standing.

Many a previous plea to Tan to change the kit back from red to blue has fallen on deaf ears, he's given what he says are his reasoning for this and insists that he'll not be going back on this....

Protests will continue this season with the Cardiff City Supporters' Trust writing an
open letter to him, which will be marched to Cardiff City Stadium on January 31st to deliver it to him in person.

It is felt that the only way that 'bridges can be repaired' would be to revert back to blue next season and bring back our traditional badge, all of which changed as part of his 'rebranding' of the club so it would appeal more to the 'international market.'

The lowest ever attendance at the Cardiff City Stadium is expected for our FA Cup third round meeting with Colchester on Friday night with it predicted that season ticket numbers will drop significantly next season if this change isn't made as 'committed fans, who have in many cases followed the club for decades, feel disenfranchised' will not renew with a mass boycott forecast.

Questioning the club's financial status the letter added: 'We are also concerned that the pledges made by yourself to convert the debt owed by the club to you into equity have yet to be realised.

'We would be grateful if you could make a firm commitment on the conversion of the debt.'

Do you want the club back in blue? If so, stop moaning and join in.

I do, but these things should be happening on a consistent basis.
