Slade needs to be given a transfer window to address this as he's currently having to make do with Ole's scattergun approach to signings which contains some very talented players but don't address the shortcomings of the team.

I totally agree we got the best squad of individuals but they just can't play together

Spot on!

I hate to say it but we were more of a team under DJ and MM. DJ didn't have access to the resources or I firmly believe he'd have got promotion. Malky made a couple of stupid mistakes off the field but there wasn't much wrong with him as a Championship manager. After all, going up comfortably as champions is no mean feat!

Slade appears to be out of his depth at times. Maybe the players don't respect him enough to put a shift in. I don't know, but something's awry!

C'mon Bluebirds!!!!

I don't think slade is out of his depth as Malky was a novice in managers terms and he ain't doing a lot at Wigan now ,but I do think the players are not pulling there weight and slade needs to bring his own young hungry type players in

While I totally agree that 3 or 4 changes need to be made to the lineup, I'm really annoyed at all the criticism thrown at Slade! 90% of the posts the last 3 weeks was about how Slade it's clueless and we are boring to watch(even though we were winning). Now you certain fans get what you want with up and down the pitch action, and the same fans are posting how terrible the team and gaffer are........after you got what you wanted!! As Russell Crowe said in gladiator "were you not entertained?" I'm not saying the club are perfect right now, but lay off the gaffer!! We are immensely better off right now than anytime in the last year and a half! The man has done an exceptional job since inheriting a mess! 5 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses since coming here is pretty much genius at this point! What would everybody want 6-0 wins every game with 75% possession? Nobody gets that, not even Bayernmunich. Let's look for a few more positives instead of wanting to fire the gaffer at every turn, please.

You make a lot of assumptions about people none of which I've seen posted on here.

And of course we want 6-0 wins and 75% possession, who wouldn't. Don't think anyone has suggested it should happen though?

Gunnarsson and Noone don't look fit or sharp, Noone and Kimbo were the wingers but apart from a few runs from Noone what else did they do ?

The centre midfield was static yet again.

Jones is another player who does not look sharp.

We did not CLOSE DOWN Bournemouth,

Our best hope of scoring was from set piece today.

So what is the game plan ?

Transfer window can't come quick enough we need pace maybe Harris will give us that but need it in midfield box to box pacey player

I can't see much business being done in January Wez

Maybe investment should be in an experienced, proven manager. Slade is starting to look clueless at times. Great substitution today but was the team set up right in the first place?

I'm not one of those who has insisted that we are going to walk the league but we do have quality players. They need to play in a balanced team with mates who know what comes next. At the moment it lacks cohesion and direction.

Fitness is still an issue for some. They should be professional enough to sharpen themselves up!

Not that great a substitution or at least Slades idea of making it can't have been that great because my and hundreds of others called it well before Slade did.

Point taken on the timing of the sub. What I'm trying to get at though is the set up of the 11 to start with. He does seem to dither at times!!! :sleepy2:

I agree about bringing in some keen players, but we are sitting on a huge squad already. A squad that is underperforming. The stock of these players will be depressed at the moment so big losses are likely to ensue if they are sold.

Say what you like about Malky, but he did a great job of gaining promotion from Championship. Slade is not getting the best out of the players for whatever reason and some still seem unfit. There were other managers available at the time Slade was appointed. Tony Pulis for example. He is a proven manager. Just saying.

Malky's situation is different at Wigan. They have been in Championship longer and shed more players. Slade has inherited high quality players. It's his job to make it work. If the players are not performing, that's his job too. He needs to motivate and inspire his squad.

I'm normally of the opinion that you back the manager, no matter what, but time is running out. Add to that the fiasco over the 3rd kit. Is it any wonder that patience is waning?
