Annis it's time for the leaders of this board and various supporters groups to come together again and lead the way once more, the march was too long ago now we need to keep pushing on. :bluescarf:

Nubbsy, I'm ready for it and always have been, but it would be good for others to take the lead this time, I will back and Support it 100% :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I'm sure it can be very taxing organising these things, but unfortunately I can't see where else these people are going to come from. If for example someone like myself tried to arrange something people wouldn't listen, they don't know who I am. Your in a position where you have the contacts and more importantly your voice is heard! Maybe try to bring all the supporters groups together and put any politics aside to achieve what everyone wants?

There was 5000ish at the last march, that was ONLY achieved when all the leaders/media including the echo, message boards, supporters groups, rebrand apposition groups etc. came together and use their heads as one! Since then it's gone back to headless chickens there's been no progressive plan or not one that has came into action anyway.

I've heard lots of good suggestions on this board I.e season ticket holders writing a template letter threatening not to renew next year if nothing is done, but now like many others it's just a lost thread!

I'd happily volunteer for any meeting or committee to bring forward some new ideas and make them happen as would many more I'm sure. But we can only make things happen together, EVERYONE!

:bluescarf:

Nubsy, But Ive been protesting since the 70's  or though this is the worse position we have ever been in :bluescarf: and we need some fresh blood.

I can get the media etc and help promote and of course be there :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Yeah I know that mate, and no one can doubt your commitment to the cause. I just hope something happens soon because like I said at the moment we are like headless chickens and things are becoming increasingly frustrating!

100% Yes.

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Wed Dec 10, 2014 11:39 pm

Yes definitely. But having a March is pointless. It got to be big and in the ground and when SKY are there. Something extremely visual. IE a mass walk out or to turn our backs. But the fight has gone from our fans and anyone who organises something are on to a thankless task. Hate to say it but our fans are beat. No fight left in us. So it would have to be a protest to end all protests. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Hate to say it but the crunch is going to come if nobody and I mean nobody renews their season ticket , boycott the first game of the new season. It seems a long way off but in 12 weeks they will be asking us all to stump up silly money to go and watch what's currently on offer is going to be a tough one for many people diehards to prawn sandwich brigade all feel the same way

I AM 100% AGAINST PROTESTING. CAN'T YOU SEE IT IS YOU WHO HAS DIVIDED THIS CLUB????
YOU sat there watching our boys in RED against Man City and prior to that you took the man's money??

God, the old days are gone, if you don't like it, go support Newport County. IF you protest I will stand there in my RED shirt BECAUSE our players play in RED>

Pride, history, identity??? I can't stand what you have done, going on and on like spoilt little kids . YOU are going to ruin this club. No wonder Tan doesn't come here anymore, he feels like an outcast, he feels not wanted. AND when he goes, there goes the club.

Good luck on you all in your protest BUT I might arrange a "Support Vincent Tan" protest on the same day!

Hope you're happy now.

ANY Vincent Tan/Cardiff City Going Forward Fans here...??? Don't let these guys intimidate you, "add your support to Vincent Tan"

I have voted no. Simply because it wont be done for the correct reasons and will make us look awful.

We were loving the promotion, loving the big exciting signings, loving playing the likes of Man City and now we have been relegated and arent doing too well.. we have decided that our colours are now important. Its almost 3 years too late.

If we had stayed up and were now mid table in the Prem - then this thread simply would not exist. There have been countless attempts to start an organisation, or a protest or a march and the numbers have been pathetic. That is because people were enjoying Prem status and didnt want to rock the boat.

I hate what we are, but i along with everyone else was a part in making us this way and i would feel embarassed to be on the protest. We are in far more debt that ever before and any protest now could kill us. The time has been and gone, TLG etc are the only ones who stood up for our club, the rest of us just wanted some of the big time. So its a no.

Why should i go and support County because i want to fight for something that shows who we are.

As far as Vincent Tan doesnt come here, he was happy enough to come here innthe premier league even though as you put it, an i quote "he feels like an outcast, he feels not wanted". I am sure if we were still in PL that he would be attending our games, the guy is bored.

I didnt celebrate our goals against man city as it didnt feel like my club beating one of the biggest clubs in the world, why are my still here then i hear you asking...I have been coming to Ninian Park and CCS since i was a wee lad, i will not walk away from the club i love because of the stupidity of one guy, although he is making it easier for me to walk away all together.

Our club is. Blue, always has been and always will be. I will protest every week if i thought we would get the support.

For the record, i am 100% behind our team, it is not their fault, however i have no respect and no support for Vincent Tan or his backroom staff. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Thu Dec 11, 2014 6:57 am

For me its quite simple unless the Club announce that from next season we will return to Blue and Badge then mass boycott every home game with fans protesting outside the Stadium. Can this be done? Yes, if enough people want it. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Thu Dec 11, 2014 7:27 am

The only way that protest is now going to make any sort of real impact will be if games are disrupted - even if it's only briefly. It would also need to be done a couple of times - to keep the fear of embarrassment for Vinny at heightened levels.

It will get national and international coverage for rebrand opposition.

The softly, softly polite approach hasn't worked.

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Thu Dec 11, 2014 8:16 am

Easiest solution is to boycott next season. That will be the biggest embarrassment for the Club and force Tan to really listen... Or f**k off

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Thu Dec 11, 2014 8:19 am

Also, attach a small note to your Season Ticket application, send that blank with the note stating you will NOT renew until Rebrand reversed

First of all I was not at the Manchester City game, Premiership football was not everything to me,our pride/identity/passion/loving the real Club I knew,I have followed for all these years.
Its fans like yourself are some of the reasons why we are divided and I wont lead or organise a protest.

I Detest what Tan and the Red Brigade have done to our club, they have ripped the heart out of our club :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Oh and by the way intimidation only ever came from Tan & the Red Brigade,Well NO MORE :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Penyfai Blue wrote:100% behind a protest, it couldn't come soon enough.

My idea for a protest would be to boycott a game and protest outside during the game. That would get a lot of media coverage and should be well attended. There are also hundreds if not thousands that boycott home games every week and have no intention of returning to watch City until Tan has left and we are back playing in blue. So, if you have no intention of watching then why not protest outside when the game is on. If we protested outside during every home game and if the poor performances continue, which I believe they will, we will get more and more people joining the protest every game.

It's time to get our club back. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Most of our long term supporters who have followed this club through thick and thin were, and still are, against the destruction of this club's proud history and heritage. The ten thousand or so new fans who suddenly appeared as the Premier League loomed large on the horizon had no real interest in our history or traditions, and were happy just to watch the big teams and their star players visit the CCS. It is mostly those new fans who are now leaving in their droves because the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea etc. are not playing in Cardiff any more. They were the people who supported the Red, and they were the people who weren't worried about anything Tan was doing to the club. These relatively new fans are now finding other forms of entertainment on Saturday afternoons, and leaving the hard core long standing fans watching a team that they no longer recognise as their own. Your support Tan protest will be a pretty small one, because a lot of the Tan supporters have already left, and if the club are still in the Championship next season, you will probably be able to get all the remaining pro Tan supporters in my kitchen.

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

YES...Got to be honest I've sat on the fence before as didn't bother me that much to protest but now I want our club back I don't enjoy going anymore. I will always go, as it's my Saturday day out with my mate and our kids, just want to enjoy the football again. My daughters starting to hate the red now which is a turning point for me. :bluescarf:

Well you say that bakedalaska, but we could barely muster 2,500 on our march (i was there and the numbers were nowhere near the 4-5000 later reported). We had 21,000 at our last home game so where in Gods name were the other 18,500 fans??

I have noticed an awful lot of people now putting the blame on fans who jumped on the bandwagon late but have since jumped ship.... but that is simply not true. Almost everyone to a man could see what was happening, had a voice, had a brain and decided not to use it. These protests were suggested repeatedly last year and usually met with indifference or some form of abuse. Everyone in that stadium decided to go to watch the prem matches and sit and enjoy, the only time we got some fight was when we decided to save Malky Makay!!

Almost everyone is part of the blame simply because nobody did anything, and i don't mean token gestures like wearing a blue top. People cant now complain because we aren't doing well anymore. If colours were more important than success then a) it never would have been allowed to happen initially and b) our complaints would coincide to whenever the team goes through a bad patch.

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

im in the 18 thats said no.
if we was doing this when doing well then yes im all up for it. i want the evil dictator as far away from the club as possible.
but only doing it when times are bad makes us fans look terrible. should have been done when we was in the prem and ideally when Malky left for me.
ill be honest i gave Tan the benefit of the doubt when he 1st took over. gave him a chance. probably should have listened to others now as i realise it was a huge mistake.
as for an alternative to get him out. i believe something has to happen in the ground infront of the media/sky cameras or when he actually attends a game

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Well put Cilfynydd Blue - a lot of my friends walked away after that first Huddersfield game in red but I didn't want to give up on my club, I want to fight to regain my club. Surely this Kev bloke is just a troll looking for a bite. So Vincent Tan "loaned" us a lot of money and took away our identity and now we're in a worse footballing position than when he came in. We have so much to be thankful for don't we Kev?

This is also true - I know a few new fans who sit not so far from me who started coming the season we got promoted to ensure they had their ticket for the premier league. At the start of this season they were still there as they thought we would walk the league. Now they are completely fed up and won't be there next season unless we get promoted. Along with season ticket holders like me who can stomach the red no longer then the attendance drop offs will be huge next season, unless of course we are promoted and these new fans stay, I won't be, the Premier league was a soul destroying experience watching a group of overpaid mercenaries in colours that meant nothing to me, give up with barely a fight as they concentrated on where their contract would be the following season

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

YES. Let make sure we get it in the Uk and Malaysian papers as I'm sure Tan will he criticised there as well. The sooner he sells for a loss the better for our club and supporters .
I honestly believe a lot of the supporters that were behind Tan have changed their views.

You are correct about only managing to get a couple of thousand or so on the last march. Most of those supporters who were demonstrating will still be supporting the club even if they are relegated and end up playing teams like Newport in Div 3. How many pro Tan supporters will be still around if we end up in the bottom division. At a guess, I would say a big fat zero.
