I sing it but nobody around me does. Someone posted on here some time ago that it would be good if we had a song like West Ham or Stoke - unbelievable. I am not sure what it would take to get our fans rocking nowadays.

I dont know what "Men of Harlech" has got to do with us. It might have Welsh connotations, but then lots of songs do. Its just a personal thing. If anything, I'd prefer "Kairdiff born and Kairdiff bred" now that's unique to our city, and thats proper Kairdiff that is.

Loads of our fans come from the valleys, Bridgend, Port Talbot etc., not sure how they would feel about Frank Hennessey's song. CCFC's fan base is quite widespread. Agree that 'pick and shovel' is better, as is 'hey Jude'.

I don't know about you guys but I actually think that since they put the words up on the screen, less people sing it. It just feels very cringeworthy and reminds me of a karaoke if I sing along to the words
Before the words came on the screen, you could actually hear our fans chanting the words and the atmosphere was good during the song so why add the words?

Whilst I'm on this subject, the words "Do the ayatollah" on the advertising boards are cringeworthy too

I have to disagree with you on this one. I think Men of Harlech was hardly sung before the words were put up on the screens and since the words have been put up it is still hardly sung, which I find astonishing as it is an extremely rousing Welsh anthem. We are looking to improve the atmosphere at CCS and I think we are all missing an opportunity with this song....it could be so much better. :bluescarf:
