I couldn't renew my season ticket for last season due to my job, and it was one of the worst periods of my football following life. Got to as many games as I could, and one away game, but just wasn't the same. Moment I got a season ticket for 14/15, I was a happy man again.

I won't be going without again.

I'm not renewing. Been reluctantly going this year. Doesn't feel the same anymore. Don't enjoy it.
There is no soul, no atmosphere.
And some will disagree, and that's fine, but for me it hadn't been a lot of fun and personally I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Atleast until Tan leaves, or 'till we go back to the old back to the old colours and old badge.

My decision not to renew was made for me, as my work pattern changed and now have to work Saturdays.
I probably wouldn't have renewed anyway, as its not Cardiff City anymore, just a Malaysian blokes plaything, and even he's bored with his toy now.
The red kit and beer mat badge done it for me!

Still haven't made my mind up, but must admit this is the first time in 20 yrs I've even contemplated not renewing. Reason being that I have become increasingly disconnected from the club, ever since the first time they ran onto the pitch at home in a red kit. I thought it was just an age thing, and missing the crack on the bob bank after piling out of the pub with your mates, but realise now it runs so much deeper.
The loyalty of the fans seems to mean nothing to the club anymore so why not just pick and choose when you want to go to games. I'm still mulling it over, but even that tells me that it's not the same connection to the club I have loved since the early 70's.

Are you still going to remain to be a Moderator on here ? I'm only asking as if Majority of the current Moderators don't renew does that mean we will have constant one sided negativity on the forum ?

Why would it be negativity if I dont go to games?
Not really thought about it tbh and dont know who else is or isnt renewing.

Only asking, I've noticed a few mods are not renewing and I just wondered what are we all going to be posting about if you are not watching the games

I'll still be supporting the club and keeping a keen interest. I'll still go to some games. Tbh I can see the club doing a lot of deals for tickets next season when they see the St sales drop.

I am currently only using it for a social thing to meet up with the very few City mates I have left who still go. Most of my gang stopped when the rebrand kicked in. Last season was actually worse than this one for me, and it was dream of mine to see City in the Prem, on MOTD in red with that badge, killed me. I will if i dont renew, however do more aways next season with the money saved and cherry pick the games where we wear blue. I will always be a Cardiff City fanatic, and it will be upsetting to not renew, but its my own little statement of intent against the rebrand in the hope that many others will join me. I should have done it in year one of the rebrand but couldn't give up the drug that is CCFC, I almost stopped halfway through last season, even with those great results Man City, Man U etc. If my wife had a facelift and became unattractive and unrecognisable to me I would leave, bit like how i feel about my club. Red and that badge is a facelift to far for me, and with my ST price rising considerably my time is up. Following Wales has become so much more enjoyable.

If I go through with it......, but I live in hope, to be back in blue, then I won't care if we are in The League Of Wales, Season Ticket every year then!

All Vincent has to do is say he was badly advised and restore the colours and badge, unite the club, make us more attractive to prospective buyers, and lets kick on. Then all these threads arguments and comments will stop, and we will all be as one once again.

This sums it up for me . Can't see me renewing . Had an St for 10 seasons now

I think the big thing for many will be the price of the tickets.... I find it bizarre that many now say that they won't renew because of the rebrand, yet this is the third season of the rebrand.

After 32 years plus I think this season will be my last - fed up off chairman antics - lack of passion players and crowd ( May make me as bad as Tan and plastics but puts me on a downer week in week out ( must be better things in life ) oh ya and the jumped stewards on £20 to act like fools for 90mins - if you were to react you would get locked up for three years  CARDIFF CITY FC going backwards desperate club and shit on their fans

I'm glad we are ethnically cleansing and getting rid of the plastic supporters at ccfc, move on and let the true Cardiff fans make some noise for the boys....

I now feel the only way to get my point across is to not renew.

What noise is that?
Have you actually read all the posts over the last month or so & you believe that these guys with 20/30/40 years of following are plastics? Have you listened to their individual stories & reasons & still think they are just pretend fans?
How sad.

I don't agree and I don't find it bizarre. From day 1 I was against the rebrand but still went to games. I found my enjoyment of matches and my connection to the club had reduced compared to previous seasons when we had played in blue. (In fairness the move to the new stadium also added a bit to the disconnect.)
However I kept going religiously and renewed my season ticket. Last year after 40 years supporting the club, I wanted to see them in the EPL. Did I enjoy it? - Nowhere near as much as in previous years and definitely less than the promotion year. seeing the team run out at home in red in the EPL really rankled with me.
This year it has got worse still to the point where I have missed around 5 home games so far even though I am still a season ticket holder. Now I don't feel like renewing for the first time ever.
I suppose you could compare it to a boxer who gets knocked to the floor. He gets up and comes back for more, then he gets knocked down again, pulls himself up to his knees and pushes himself forward. But at some point he takes the punch that knocks him out. Season 1 in red was the first punch. Season 3 has me seeing double and just maybe the knockouot blow will be season 4 in red.
Yes this is the third season of the rebrand, but when you love something with a passion, it's hard to let it go. I don't think this is bizarre at all, I think it is human nature. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

All down to the cost.
I havent had the price freeze but have continued to get a season ticket for me and my son. we usually miss about 3 games a season, so its a bit annoying that you can now easily buy a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children for £40 a game when I'm paying more than £20 for the 2 of us each time I go

Pretty much sums it up for me, bit by bit my passion for the club has diminished. The red shirts, badge, the VT/Malky bust up, the debt to equity lie, the red seats and Tan with his continued disregard for the feelings of the fanbase, or should I say customer base? Thought I could put up with the red shirts/badge, but the more I see it the more I despise it. Tan is steadily sucking the life out the club, so much so that when we beat Reading I felt I didn't give a feck. In 35 years of supporting the club I've never felt like that after a City win.
Bought my first ST in 88, been a ST holder for 15 consecutive years, but this is my last until we go back to blue. Have had enough of Tan and his disrespect for us, so I'm out. Nothing to do with price freeze ending as Im alright financially. Won't watch us again after this season till we go back to blue.
