Tan has been getting all his advice from Roeder and of course pays him for it as his advisor.

I don't pretend to know anything but my feeling is that Slade picks the team and has final say no matter what Tan wants. He seems to be an intelligent and honourable man and he's not being paid a fortune so it seems to me that he sees this as his big chance to do something in football and who, in that position, would allow interference from above on team matters, transfers etc. It just wouldn't make any sense

I said that Tan wanted a DOF and I said it was Glenn Roader but all went quiet and the reason why we haven't heard anything is Tan has hired him on a season by season private contract worth £112.000 a year. A personal advisor so to speak.
And to add to the mix Glen Roader and Tan are selecting the team and then they discuss with Slade. Slade does have a little say but in reality he does what he's told.
To be honest that is no way to run a Football Club and I can't see it ever working but hey it's just a normal working shift under Vincent Tan.

Exactly nuclearbullshit has no facts to back up his statement.

This is probably the fact of the matter. He has been told roeder is director of football fair enough and slade has probably got stuff in his contract to say he must work under a director of football etc..
This is where bullshit and rumours start then where people are told one thing and then people way over exagarate the truth and add other bits in to change facts into bullshit. Whether that person is nukes or nukes source i dont know but to say tan and roeder picks the team is nonsense.

Some very good points Chief. But let's flip the coin here. Slade was about to get the sack from Orient and had we not come running in he would of. Now Orient ain't a big Club and he hasn't exactly been sought after ( Not saying he ain't any good) but he was about to end up on the dole. City come in and for him he is still on good wages compared to any other offer he could of had. We are Championship team as well and let's be honest he would of agreed to anything. Still sounds crazy, although according to Loncar, Ole´s contract was violated on 3 points, and full control of everything concerning the team could be one of them. Ole´s first interview after an eventual final agreement is made, might shed some light on the matter.
