Wigan insist they are yet to draw up a managerial shortlist after Malky Mackay was linked with the vacant role at the DW Stadium.

The former Cardiff boss was immediately made favourite for the vacancy after Uwe Rosler’s 11-month spell with the Latics was brought to a premature end on Thursday.
However, Mackay’s name being linked with Wigan has prompted local MP Lisa Nandy to write to the club’s chairman Dave Whelan, urging him against appointing Mackay.
The Scotsman was sacked by Cardiff a year ago and was later accused by the club of sending sexist, racist and homophobic text messages.
Labour MP Tandy wrote: “I have been contacted by a number of constituents and Wigan Athletic supporters who have asked me to voice their concern in response to press reports suggesting the potential appoint of Malky Mackay as manager of Wigan Athletic.
“A football manager has a crucial position in the community and is a role model, especially for young people.
“I understand that no decision has been made at this time, but I am sure Wigan Athletic would not appoint anyone without ensuring first that they have respect for other people regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity or religion.”
However, the Latics have played down the link with Mackay, claiming they are yet to start the search for Rosler's successor.
Jonathan Jackson, Chief Executive, said: “We have not discussed any individual or drawn up a shortlist, never mind actually contacting any potential candidates or their agents.
“As such, I can categorically deny that any one candidate is ahead of any other as regards being appointed as the next manager of Wigan Athletic.”
