when season tickets go on sale each year you get the opportunity to buy or not
you get to have a seat where you choose
you get first option on cup games
and if we have a good run you get first option on Wembley tickets for cups and play offs
if you don't have season ticket you have to hope there will be tickets available
you even some times have to buy in advance to get them cheaper for home games
you usually cant get a seat next your mates
if you (as an example) sign up to sky tv for 12 months at a fixed rate you cant complain if during that 12 month period sky offer a better deal to a new customer for 3 months to get them hooked .
I say it again fill the stadium every week with fans at what ever price we can get £20 £10 £5 £ 1 or even free :bluescarf:

Yes a few nice extra bonuses but nothing exciting.

When was the last time it was difficult to get tickets for a cup game? Highest home cup game we had this season was 17,123. The cup doesn't have the appeal it once did.
I don't see why buying tickets in advance would be a problem if you are comparing it to a season ticket where you have to buy it in advance anyway.

I don't think the Sky package example works, if people knew they could pay for sky on a monthly basis and it would be cheaper than signing up for a 12 month more expensive package then I don't think you would get many takers :?

Its a nice idea but its a short term answer to a longer term problem. I like the idea of a full stadium but I don't think slashing prices and annoying a lot of season ticket holders is the way to go.

Many people are finishing a price freeze and going on this seasons prices can expect a increase (my seat for example) from £399 to £530 (I think).
Now come February when people are then asked to stump up £530 which for most isn't easy amount to just spend they will start to think wait a minute I could save a bit buy not getting a season ticket looking at last season and just wont do it.

Then the more that done renew, the less valuable a season ticket becomes anyway, less people with priority for cup games, more seats to choose from and the more attendances will drop and the more offers the club will look to be doing.

Im not renewing anyway, I have better things to be spending my money on next year but if the club go down the route of slashing ticket prices I think they will massively regret it come next season. I would say the vast majority of people do it for one reason and that price.

I have paid the £399 in Ninian Stand since the new ground opened. Like the majority, I've hardly had a pay increase in that period. So if season ticket prices rise next year, I won't be renewing but will choose one game a month to attend. I'll always be a City fan, but you have to draw the line somewhere. I totally agree with a price reduction or even further price freeze to retain a good following.

We don't have too much money in our house, so at the moment I only get to go to a game every 3/4 months.

Of course if tickets were £5 each, I'd be able to get to one a month and would have a royally good time.

I CAN totally understand though why a decrease would annoy season ticket holders who've paid the ludicrous amount of money City are asking for these days.

I disagree with the British stadium pricing system anyway, and think we should all take a lesson from bayern and German football in general when it comes to pricing. it's got silly.

Still... how about tickets at their normal price but then get dropped to £5 10 minutes before kick off? not sure if it would even be workable but I can't help looking at empty seats at CCS and thinking "I'd have given them a fiver for that empty seat... that's £5 more than they have now and if those 10,000 empty seats were filled at £5 each the club would make and EXTRA £50k per home game..." hell even if that's only £1 per game it's 10k that they would get with absolutely no more expenditure on their part (and that's not mentioning the drinks / food than an extra ten thousand people may partake in...

Problem is everyone would then wait to get tickets, I would think the last thing they would want is a queue of 10,000 people 10 minutes before kick off.

The only answer in my opinion is to properly price season tickets in the first place.

Although I do agree with giving more tickets to schools
