Why should he get even more opportunities than he's had? What about Harris? What about Velikonja? Both of them haven't had as big an opportunity as Mats...
Well I feel and 1,000s of others feel Daehli is good enough

He's not good enough. There's a reason Slade doesn't play him, and that's why. Would much rather see the other two on the bench.
Ok, Well for me Slade has now been in charge from Blackpool away 7 games, I will finally judge him after 12 games as promised, a fans opinion. but I 100% disagree with you regarding Daehli, like you do with me, thats what opinions are about

In the other board they said Man u management had praised his attitude in training.
I went looking for those comments. Here's what they said:
Coach for the Reserves Warren Joyce is full of praise for the midfielder.
"His attitude has been first class. Everything he's done this summer with the reserves has been first class. Even the physical. He has run most of the lads into the ground this summer. It has simply been a pleasure having him in the team.
"Talk about attitude and dedication. He knew he wasnt supposed to play against Curzon, but he still wanted to join. He's just that eager and really wants to be a part of the team. He even did that right after he completed a good training session with the first-team earlier that day.
"He'll do whatever it takes to succeed, you can say that he's desperate for success which is a great thing."
http://thebusbyway.com/2012/08/23/warre ... er-daehli/Marshall said this about daehli last week:
He is a great team-mate and one of the hardest working players I have seen.

I personally think he has a lot to offer, and would very much like to see him against reading. Or we should start singing for him show slade that we believe mats deserves a shot.

OK Slade. You choose the team. Don't listen to every disgruntled fan who has their own opinion about who should or shouldn't play. Be your own man. Listening to what the fans want is a sure fire way to the sack.
BUT - if you get it wrong you'll be sacked anyway - such is football.

The club is knackered for as long as tan is in charge.
Rotten to the core thanks to tan and his rebrand. I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that the club I grew up watching is being destroyed by a complete arse. Bring back days of Durban, Clemo etc.at least in the 80s I could identify with the club.

maybe just maybe matts is sulking and NOT showing much effort in training
wether that's due to his hip or just that now ole has gone he doesn't seem interested
ffs leave the slade sniping off for a month or two
we all know its tan your trying to get at just because your beloved malky has gone

I have posted earlier this week that something doesn't add up, am no fan of tan but that's my agenda, got to agree with Annis on this one.

The fact that Daehli is speaking to the press etc about this saying he not happy etc is an example of the boys attitude.
If I was Daehli I'd get my head down and earn my place in the team, instead of moaning about it.
What would happen if we went on facebook moaning about how we are not getting the shifts we want etc at work, and slagging your work off? We'd be sacked/given a warning. This is exactly what Daehli is doing so I wouldn't be happy if I was Slade.

Daehli has played on the wing this season when he's played & he's looked totally ordinary. He doesn't fit into this 4-4-2 formation either, but if Slade were to play him, it would be just behind the front man...
Even then, I'd rather see Ravel in that position - more talented and far more experienced in this league.
It's crazy that he isn't getting on the bench though & three CBs are.

as usual whats been said as taken out of context again and being used as a bash slade opportunity again, what slade as said as been said to countless players so mat is no different!! i dont care if mats is your lover it does not mean you no whats going on at club regarding him, what goes on with norway is nothing to do with city! giggs was never fit for wales friendlies but was fit for utd sounds familar?? why cant folk on here give slade chance instead of twisting things to suit their egos on here!!
basically they wont be satisfied until slade fails and we've heared that before havn't we???

Now now Allan, u should know me better than that, I spk my mind
I am a fan of Matt Daehli and like 1,000s of other City fans, can not understand what is going on?
By the way its 7 games, Tan employed Slade for the Blackpool game and the 3 man management team flew up together and all advised together, that is common knowledge, just title different.
Tue Nov 11, 2014 9:44 pm
First of all, this is nothing to do with Vincent Tan (duh?????). Mats is too good for this club right now UNDER this manager. We asked for pie and chips, we didn't even get Clarkies Pies, we got Swansea maggots! Mats changed that game at West Brom. my God, he is ONLY 19 I think. Like Annis says, "start him in the next game" .
Anyone for a vote on this??? "Mats to start in next game".
Slade better be careful, seems a bit too confident, needs to bed in before the mattress is pulled away lol!

just refering to official games , any way annis not disputing what you say, but as i said earlier in thread slade only said what countless managers have said to players before, so no idea why such hysteria over what was said? and this as been going on for several weeks! i made reference to giggs and wales and its no different with mats only opposite way! i just dont see why so much is made of the situation as its slades decision thats it! personally i dont see how mats fits in with city's formation away especially as witts needs to play up field and so does mats, just wont work unless drop witts?

What makes you think he has done this? He's even on record as saying slade is good manager.
Don't hate on a kid just because the local press decided to twist the story for hits.
Mats daehli is a humble and hardworking boy. He is not a diva at all.
When I get home I can post what he actually said. It's not at all like the echo said.

Mr Slade needs money to bring in the players he wants, Matt's D is no doubt worth a few bob and probably the easiest player for Mr Slade to sell right now.

Interesting way to look at it, if Tan has no plans to invest any more in the club, this will be the new approach
Tue Nov 11, 2014 10:54 pm
That Mats have an attitude problem totally absurd.
He has not been moaning to norwegian media, on the other hand he have actually said that he likes Slade and that he is doing good with the team and that he will try to fight back a spot on the team.
Slade has the right to demand good effort from all his players, but Slade also needs to understand that Mats is a vital player for the new young norwegian national team. If they (the power people around the norwegian national team) dont like how things develop they will pressure him to leave Cardiff (they always do).
There have been reactions here in Norway that Mats was left out behind 3 CB's on the bench, and since we know from before that VT has a money dispute with OGS, and that Mats is sort of OGS "pupil", and adding up VT's way of doing things, then many people ask themselves: What the f*** is REALLY going on?
Many people just dont buy that Mats suddenly aint good enough to even have a place in the squad.

Steve,
I prefer to hear the truth and I know for a fact that Matts Daehli's attitude is not a problem.
So on this one I believe there is something not right which questions his attitude.
We all know Daehli turned down greater opportunities to come and play for ole at Cardiff, maybe Slades style isn't working for him and vice versa. I'm sure wherever ole goes, matts won't be far behind..

Agree - but Slade could easy get rid of 5 others and get some cash in for the "FREE TRANSFER - LOAN KING"

Right here is my view, and it is nothing to do with Vincent Tan, as I personally think that he is genuinely trying to get city on an even keel, but, I do not think that Russell Slade is not the man for the job, and VT has made a mistake in appointing him.
All this talk about players not showing the right attitude in training etc. to me is all bullshit, Slade has said that he has his 20 man squad, so everyone not in the squad has a bad attitude

It is all down to man management, he has said in the media about his squad, but he has never said that those outside the squad are still part of his plans, in fact he has said some are NOT part of them.
Just how do you expect the rest of the players to react, you think all those players who know they have no chance of playing, to say, right "I'll show him" one or two maybe, remember we are talking about 15 players not getting a look in.
Only time will tell but, unless Slade pulls his finger out and start using players outside the squad and think about something different than 4 4 2 then, we are definitely going to end up mid table

Where has Slade been quoted as saying he will only use a 20 man squad? I have only seen him say that the current squad is way to big, which it is. So far he has used 20 players in 6 games, that doesn't mean that others outside that 20 are not in his plans. All this bollocks on Daelhi from Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum is just that, bollocks
It's such bollocks, that I don't even know what argument is being put forward, as on the one hand Annis seems to be saying that VT doesn't want Daelhi to play because he wants to sell him in January? Well if he wants to sell, would it not make sense to play him as much as possible in order to get a maximum price according to the sparkling form he will show? Or is Annis arguing that Slade does not know his arse from his elbow and can't spot a good player when he sees one?
Is it not more likely that at present, Daelhi is a luxury and Slade believes that we need to stop losing games, get some solidity and confidence back then look to bringing more flare into the team when it warrants it. I believe he is correct in this
Wed Nov 12, 2014 9:27 am
Slade has said that he has a squad of 20 which is the players he wants to work with, obviously there are other players that will come in but as far as he was concerned these 20 are his main men. If you look back on his "LIVE" interviews not ones quoted in the papers, then you will see first hand what he has said, I really can' be bothered that much to go looking to give you a link, but I have watched them, so if you want to watch and confirm what he has said, do a search
