It's all well and good having the likes of Whittingham, Noone, Daehli, Morrison who can skill, pass and create but we need a player who does the dirty work and battles in midfield. Someone with a character and spirit.

Good point but my worry is that all those players will eventually be phased out. Daehli and Morrison already being done.
We will end up with a very very average squad of players who work hard fighting relegation.

This seems to be passing some people by. Yes we need some steel in midfield to dominate the centre and allow our flair players to create. But what's the point when the talk is we are getting rid of the flair to get the steel in. Where will we get another daehli or Morrison from? Short sighted and doomed to fail.

Who's asking for champions league players? Championship players at least for fuk sake. Your happy with a 30yr old league one player to take us up are you?

I couldn't care less what division they currently play in or their age as long as they improve the team.

Too many football manager fans on here

All ifs and buts

If granny had balls she'd be grancha

Best idea is get behind the team and manager week in week out and maybe just maybe that will instill a bit of confidence in the lads??

Or shall we just continue to slate and vilify every player and manager week in week out until we get relegated and the the I told you so brigade will be happy and can say I TOLD YOU HE WAS SHIT

Think some of you need a reality check

We are Cardiff city not Real Madrid

I miss the days of 3,000 in the bob bank singing their hearts out in the pissing down rain watching us get destroyed at home, would we moan nope would we continue to support the team regardless YES

Take me back there any day

The bollocks I hear spouted in the stadium these days puts me off going more than the empty red seats

I've heard both Benson and Hedges are available if we can pursuade Mike Bassett to sell them both.

I agree with this point. We need steel in the midfield but also quality and creativity, let's hope slade can get the right mixture but like you say at the moment it's not encouraging with the likes of daehli and Morrison not getting a look in at the moment, they should be given their opportunity at least and see how they do

We do Annis.
I thought Ademyemi or Dikachoi could have been that player. Still might I guess but we also need the right blend of players which would include Daehli/Ravel.

Thought everyone was moaning about the lack of effort shown by some of our players. Don't know anything about this player, but maybe he is someone who will at least make an effort. We are losing games at the moment to so called lesser teams because they have players who are prepared to battle for their club while we have players who want to earn big bucks for the minimum amount of work. A good old fashioned grafter can't do much worse than some of our over rated so called stars who don't give a toss about whatever club they play for as long as they get a nice payday each month.

Well the point of a forum is to put your point across, or should we just post positive things and ignore or the problems?

In the ground 100% behind the team but a forum is to discuss things.

cant get over how people all jump on the band wagon without giving people a chance ffs ole signed players that in my opinion aint done much to me the signings were shit...gotta give slade a chance so if hes interested in bringing in a player that brings stability to the midfield with an attacking sense who are we to judge him, hes already done more than ole did yea we aint gonna win every game in this championship as its prob the hardest league out there and yea this players knocking on but people in my opinion thats what we need at the min i would rather get a proven player than a young gun that costs us millions that at the end of the season is loaned out...... with our away form of late he needs to change the thinking with our team, but at least hes spotted we have a problem..... ole as nice as the guy is would have just signed a player from molde, give the guy a chance................ :old:

Our last signing was Manga. I think this shows a different ambition if true

What about Gunnarson and Adeyemi? I take it this means Dikcagoi is a write off! What about recalling Filip Kiss and give him a try?

Why not bring Kiss back? He's previously shown he's up to this level and he would definitely add some steel to our midfield. This was the most one sided draw I've ever seen. We controlled the game from start to finish as the report says and our middle 3 were Kiss, Gunnarsson and Whittingham. What would be wrong with playing those 3 away from home now? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14863923

Battling...is that what we need to do??? We have been crying out for a midfielder who takes the game by the scruff. Ravel?? Adeyemi?? We need to keep our class players, not isolate them. I am thinking that we look one dimensional, we need to try different tactics with minimal changes, we need players that can shake up the game (above), Daeli?? What we need is a top flight coach, not yes men like Scott and Gabbs (with dearest respect to them both). IF we don't keep our players with technique, we will be playing Orient next season (is that the plan folks???) :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :notworthy: :notworthy:

What you and others need to realise is before we can play our game, we need to win the battle first!

This makes sense.. He is still young, fit, can play at this level and is also an international player..
