Massively underwhelmed by Daehli this season. Hasn't looked remotely good enough when picked. He needs to knuckle down, impress the manager and make himself undroppable rather than start pimping himself around for a move. All that is wrong with the modern day footballer with his attitude.

He is being asked about it in Norway at a press conference for the national team- according to google translator he said he is training extra on his own and wants to get back in the team. When pressed he said I can't continue without games forever but he can handle 1-2 months. Said he respects he manager decisions.

Steve tucker left out the context from what I see and made it more controversial than it actually was.
I think slade brought this one on himself when he opened up for him to leave, what he said was not exactly reassuring.

He could just have said, not for sale, he is in my plans, great potential just has to be patient, his chance will come blah blah blah.If he had done that the media would have got off his back. Instead he made excuses which seems inaccurate and it's become this shitstorm. Which surely is not beneficial to either player nor manager? IMO.

There are certain players in our squad who , no matter what they do, will never be given the chance to impress the manager and make themselves undroppable.

Two of the current team that seem to be undroppable are Le Fondre and Pilkington, neither of whom have exactly set the division alight have they?

Slade is either incapable of dealing with a talent such as Daehli or, as is being suggested, he is being leant on not to select him from above.

Personally I think it's the former more than the latter.

Any other manager in the league would love a player like Matts and build their team around such a talented player
If Russell Slade says he can't fit him in to the side then he is not in a fit state to be a manager of a championship side
I now worry about our coaching staff who seem to be totally inept when it comes to team tactics
An example is how Mick McCarthy fits Jonny Williams into the Ipswich side,he has the free run of the park.
He tore us to shreds at the city stadium
Even Dave Jones managed with Jason Kumas in the same role and he was a 442 lover
I have to say that at the moment it looks like Slade wants a rigid 442 with no football talent just workhorses
No promotion for us this season with that football philosophy

Would rather see him on the bench rather than start on the wing. He's been poor for Cardiff on the wing all season (couldn't give a shit about Norway, I'm not Norwegian)

If he were to play, it should be behind the striker, in a 4-4-1-1 formation, but at the moment, I'd prefer to see Ravel play there over Daehli... A far better and more experienced player.

It is crazy how he's not getting on the bench though.

"CRIMINAL" Some on here are bemoaning his start to the season and are maybe questioning his proclaimed talent.
He has tremendous talent and a talent that will blossom under the right leadership.
In years to come we'll be saying that guy there ripping a few new arseholes to those defenders used to be in our City squad BUT WAS SOLD DUE TO LACK OF OPPORTUNITIES OR A PLAYING SYSTEM THAT DIDN'T SUIT.
Load of bollocks, rare talents need to be nurtured and encouraged not sold on.
This club of ours is on the edge of a precipice and losing it's footing a couple more silly decisions and the long fall will begin.
You keep your main assets and coach them to reach their full potential, this doesn't seem to be happening here.

Im 100% sure this is orders from Tan, and im 100% certain its because of the conflict with Ole. No manager in this world would completely demolish his best talent and insult him by putting 3 center backs on the bench, lie about him being injured and let his competitors play poor games game after game, and not even putting him on the bench. I have to say Noone and Pilkington have been so poor this season that i would have liked him to come in and get a chance to show what he can do. But Slade rates Ralls, Fabio and Kim ahead of him on the wing. He even rates 3 CB on the bench ahead of him, and then goes on record lying about it 5 times. What is even worse Slade says he will only sell him for BIG money limiting his opportunities. I will be surprised if not a few players in the team react negative to Slades famous man management skills.

I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of $w@n$e@ came in for him. That would be a double whammy for me.

Yeah that was a bit crap, like you won't play him don't even put him on the bench but you will only sell him for a big fee. Doesnt make any sense.
