I was expecting a lot more from Guerra, which he can't deliver if he's not even on the sheet.
Why would Tan want to prevent Guerra being selected?
In a different thread it has been suggested that Tan insisted that Guerra played in the Bournemouth game!
Is Tan saying he should play or not play?![]()

If it were my money paying Guerra's sizeable wages I'd be asking my manager for a reason why he seems to be suggesting that he'd rather play a centre half who's been out injured for months as a striker ahead of a guy who has scored goals in one of Europe's top leagues.

Le Fondre has been disappointing & lets be honest his only goal for us was an embaressment. Le Fondre has had his chance & its time for someone else.
If Slade is going to stick with 4-4-2 then he must drop ALF and give Guerra / Maynard or Jones a chance.
Im deserpate to see more of Ravel Morrision. Maybe play him as a number 10 behind Macheda /Jones or NM...!!!
The lad is a talent.
Just need to whip him into shape...on and off the field.

Hes looked good when hes come on as a sub in the earlier games this season. Cant judge him on that performance in the cup against Bournemouth. I agree he needs a run. Lets see what he can do.
You called me Ole and not Olly...I can see you are missing OGS haha

I spoke to some Spanish close friends of Javi Guerra today and they were telling me what a nice person he was and could not believe the Rumours about Guerra supposedly upsetting the dressing room.
In the past he has never been known for this and it's not his character.
He has personally gone to Slade and pleaded with him for a chance to show his worth![]()
So come on Russell Slade, give a proven goal scorer a chance![]()
What have you got lo loose?
Great player on ability alone he starts......
Hhmmmm I wonder why he isn't selected by three different Managers ???
If I was a betting man, I would bet on him not playing and him leaving in the next window, but I hope i'm wrong and Slade gives him a go, as he is the best Striker we have IMO.

All three managers have had Scott Young as a coach and he publically criticised Guerra after the Bournemouth game.

Agree, he's looked to have that bit of class about him in the little I've seen of him. Has a great leap on him too

Whatever his reasons, it's Russell Slade's decision. Managers often don't rate certain players. It's up to Guerra to knuckle down in training, and wait for his chance, like any other player. It will probably come, as were bound to pick up injuries and suspensions. The it's up to him to prove Russell Slade wrong, or otherwise.

Well I just hope he gets a run as I know he has gone out of his way to beg for a chance

I have a real fear that slade is going to dismantle the squad but get rid of the wrong players. We need a refresh but there's a real threat that we could be quickly turned in to a very average side and waste some of the best talent we have.

I really hope Slade reconsiders two players already Daehli and Guerra.
