All I ever ask is players give 100%.

Ashley Williams does that.

He delivered his side of the bargain with a clean sheet you need to look further up the field fellas , always gives 100% and always turns up a role model to young Welsh kids without a doubt , then again we could always go with Collins and gabbidon

Poor miss, but played well enough. Thought Ben Davies had a shocker.

To be fair to Davies, he hasn't had much game time so far this season. Besides, I thought he played well enough. Obviously not really his best position, though.

If Chester qualifies through parents he should play. If it's grandparents rule then in my opinion he shouldn't play.

His mother was born in Rhyl so he qualifies

I would say a fair majority of the people who dont want english born players representing wales can not even speak Welsh. So you dont want an englishman in charge but wont learn your own language. I dont really see the patriotic side in that?

C'mon then plantlife, let's hear it for Robson-Kanu as his miss was worse! Nah I didn't think so! What a pathetic little man you are. Grow up! Ashley Williams is our/YOUR captain. Get used too it! :laughing6:
he plays passing football week in week out with you lot but the moment he plays for Wales he plays the lumping it up field game...

At least Williams has learnt the anthem, and sings it better than even some of the Welsh-born players.

I think hes a worthy captain for us

Thought Ashley Williams played well friday night as did all the team, Bosnia are a useful side. The issue about the Captain shouldn't come into it as didn't Vinny Jones captain us once?

Grandparents rule is crap. Williams is a good premier league player but he has rarely played well for Wales. I'd far rather see a 16 year old from Wrexham playing than someone whose granny visited Llandudno once.

Now that may be well be the most preposterous thing ever said on this forum, and that's saying something!

How many times has he saved our bacon over the last few years? I've lost count, that's for sure!

It's probably equal to the number of times he's scored own goals or played criminal back passes that have resulted in Wales conceding goals. Just saying.

Re: Ashley Williams

We wouldn't be complaining if it was the other way around. Singing "he's not even Welsh" at Cardiff/Swansea games is standard rivalry banter, but our fans are only having a go because he's a Jack. If he was a Bluebird then we would all be singing "he's captain of Wales".

As much as I dislike Ashley Williams and everything to do with Swansea, when he puts on a Wales shirt he's playing for our country. I do think Aaron Ramsey should be captain though.

It was a big decision for Coleman to make, taking the captaincy away from Ramsey. However, I agreed with the decision at the time and still do know. Ramsey's never struck me as obvious captain material (not sure why), and he looked rudderless at times, particularly on that nightmare evening in Novi Sad against Serbia.

Yeah I can understand that. Main reason being Aaron has matured a lot and he's actually born in Caerphilly, speaks fluent Welsh and Ashley Williams is born in Wolverhampton.

After watching Williams closely tonight I can see why he is our captain. You could see he was motivating every player and communicating with them for 90 minutes, great performance from him.

I echo that whilst I'd love our captain to be welsh born and bred I am more than happy for Williams to lead us out, he wears the shirt and is proud to captain wales, doesn't sit as well as it should with me but the guy gives his all for our country so I won't knock him

Exactly how I feel, I think the main reason why our fans are so bitter about him is because he's a Jack. I hate the guy as much as anyone else when he has a Swans shirt on, but the second he puts on the Welsh shirt he has my full support.

It's a tough one fella but until the rules are different I will support anyone that gives their all in a welsh jersey

Every one of those players played as a team, worked hard for each other and I'm proud of every single one of them.

Looking at how Williams and Taylor play you can see that they are PL level players and they, along with all of the players are proud to play for Wales.

Thought Taylor played very well in both games.

Tonight thought Cotterill, Robson-Kanu and Gunter were excellent.

We lie top of the table after winning in the face of adversity and yet we still have some negative comments on here.

I back the team 100% and the Jacks in the team are extremely important to any success that comes. Neil Taylor is excellent
