Ridiculous thread. Derby fans all thought Kenwyne was a handful and he scored at Brighton Tuesday! Kenwyne scores, assists, wins balls in the air he has no right to win and is our best defender at corners. Not a team player? Really? Incredible!

Jones – A lot of people say he cannot be dropped because he has scored a few goals but his actual goal scoring record this season is okay however its not good enough to stop him being dropped. Definitely when he is our only striker which means he getting the most chances however due to his lack of movement and the style of football we are having to play due to his technical deficiencies the team suffers as a whole. I am really to see him putting a shift in compared to last season however he can only do this for 55-60minutes then he is a passenger. Would like him to be used as an impact sub and Guerra to be used who is more composed and confident with ball at his feet to link up with Ravel.

After what I saw of him last season I wanted him gone pre season, but with a full pre season behind him hes been one of the few positives so far this season

At the end of the day though he's still scored goals, and winners at that (and to save a point at Brighton), so it could be a lot worse.

Jones will be our first choice striker all season, he had little to feed off last night and he scored at Brighton.

Your comment is laughable imo

Care to expand?

The reason I said this is I really don't think jones is gonna be our first choice striker this season, because his movement and finishing simply isn't good enough and I can't understand how anyone can think it is?
I think slade will identify this and pick a fit rejuvenated macheda or guerra or even maynard.
I really do think we will struggle this season if jones is our main striker.

Yet you suggest Maynard as an alternative?

Yes because with the players around him we got now if we play the right football on the ground, because he has more movement and has pace and makes more runs I think he would be a better option than jones.
Maynard hasent ever hit form for us but you could argue he's never had the best of service while he's been fit under the ole era.

You kenwynne lovers crack me up it's just a difference of opinion. Because he has scored a few goals finally everyone is making out he is ibrahimovic. Rudy gestede has scored the same amount of goals as kenwynne would you be happy if he was our striker here who our team depended on to get us promoted, it's laughable really imo why people think kenwynne is so good

Rudy Gestede has been doing very well at Blackburn.

Yes that's my point he's being doing well scoring goals same as kenwynne but be honest would you be happy with him as the striker to fire you to the premiership? No chance! His overall game like kenwynne is quite simply not goon enough

Difference is - Rudy has a strike partner. Put him as a lone striker with lazy midfield and even the best will look shyt!

I do agree with what you say there that kenwynne would only be effective in this team if he had someone playing up there with him, he can't play as a lone striker no way.
Still personally if we had the option of 2 up front I would pick macheda and guerra

Who don't understand target men? Does a target man work as a lone striker then in your opinion?

he's probably won every header this season. We hoof a ball upfront, he wins the header and no fker runs off him!!!!!!! Even Messi would look odd with fk all support
