Money helps in football, there can be no doubt about that, but you also need to have the right manager and what MM achieved in not only delivering promotion, but also winning the League, cannot simply be put down to money. If that were the case the money given to OGS should have seen us comfortably at the top of the league, even after just 11 games, but sadly we have a squad devoid of confidence, passion and desire ALL characteristics which MM teams have in abundance.
We now move on to Russell Slade, and I wish him the very best of luck, and with automatic promotion already just a pipe dream let's hope he can get us in with a shout at the playoffs. One thing I believe is certain and that's our fans will realise that Russell Slade has picked up a poisened chalice and he has a massive job to get us involved in a playoff push.
VT on the other hand thinks I've put my money in so there is no reason not to get promoted. Well with the complete mess OGS has made of this squad It's you Vinnie who may have to give RS the chance and not the fans.

I am guessing that Tan is more than a little frustrated at the lack of appreciation from the more vocal amongst the City fans that the promotion would not have occurred without his cash injection and support for the players Malky brought in
I can, to an extent, appreciate that but he needs to remember he hardly enamoured himself to the City faithful after his arrival by changing the colours in such a dictatorial way
People know I am not as anti-Tan as others and can appreciate the fact that of it weren't for him and his money there was a very good chance we would not be here now..and certainly not a club that had achieved the Premier League dream for even just one season
The facts are that Tan (metaphorically) supplied the building blocks, but it was Malky who built the wall and managed the squad to promotion, so BOTH played their part
But it does leave me thinking that Tan (in the form of another manager) may well have got us promoted with the financial backing he provided, but also asking could Makly have got us promoted without Tan and his money??
His Watford experience says probably not, which leaves me thinking that maybe Tan has a little bit of a point when the more vocal City fans give him no credit on that particular issue
Just my humble opinion, of course!
Blaming Tan for changing the identity of the club is one thing but every time we have a poor run of football its the usual suspects then blame him for whats happening on the pitch. He got rid of the cancer in Ole and its going to take time to get this team fit let alone playing the football they are all capable of playing.
There are many great managers who started at lower leagues and yes we all are concerned as to why Slade, considering the success he has had, hasn't been given a chance earlier than now. At the end of the day every managerial appointment is a gamble, successful managers such as Brendan Rogers have had bad spells at some clubs so there aren't any guarantees and whilst I do believe that Pulis was the most likely manager out there capable of turning our fortunes around, we have to give Slade a chance and hope his much needed man management skills can have a positive affect and get these talented players playing again
Tan is the cancer at the club , he is a bumbling , mumbling ineffective owner who stumbles from one crisis to the next !
There is only one direction this club is headed until we campaign effectively & successfully , for a change of owner !

Do not "albeit temporary" and Tan free equate to the same, not today perhaps , yearned for desire ?! Isn't the issue here how & when ,we achieve that desire ?
People are at liberty to profess their thoughts as to the current state of CCFC as they wish , whether they support Vincent Tan , loathe him , do nothing , protest , show complete indifference or choose red , green or blue with which to adorn themselves on match days !
What I see is more and more of the fan base prepared to signify their distaste for Tan & his policies by dipping accordingly into the above as they see fit ,particularly in relation to the choice of colour with which they adorn themselves!
I will certainly not profess to speak for the "most" !
I will speak only for myself , and what I see is that Vincent Tan , a driven man , will not acquiesce to the views of those who choose to wear blue on a Saturday afternoon unless we voice our love for those colours in as many practical manners as we can ! If others choose to follow that path ,great , if they choose any of the avenues mentioned above , that is for them and indeed ....... for you !

I'm no great Tan fan, Rebrand aside though, he's probably no worse than most owners. I just find it somewhat stupid when he is blamed for everything that goes wrong at the club.He certainly won't get any credit when things go well that's for sure. All be it not a lot is going well at the moment. No owner of any club wants his club to fail, that I do know is true.

I have also always been against meaningless protests that end up with a disorganised melee and where individuals seek out to enforce their own agendas rather than putting the sole interest of the club and the actual matter in hand at the top of their agendas, as the last set of so-called "organised" protests proved as they descended into chaos because certain individuals expanded their "wish lists" on a daily basis!
So before you come on here making statements you simply cannot back up and/or using analogies such as "cancer in the club" I suggest (politely) that you actually stop and think about what you are writing before you push the button or you may well be seen as another mumbling, bumbling, ineffective poster that stumbles from one post to another!![]()

WHIM?![]()
That was one of the most difficult decisions I have made in the 45 years of my life.
Tan hasn't saved us, he has temporarily postponed the inevitable. Now the debt is at a level that no one will ever want to handle. He continues to throw money at the club and 95% of the fans view that as positive. Silly money and silly wages that the club can not and never could afford and that went for the owners before him too.![]()
The change of kit colour and badge meant new club to me in all but name but the promise of the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, etc as opposition seemed more important to most. Personally I used to go and watch Cardiff City, not the opposition, so the Premiership dream was never going to buy my love.
I could honestly say I was proud to be a City fan in the lower leagues, the team and the fansbut I feel anything but proud of the overpaid mercenaries who adorn an alien strip and (aside from the fans trying to make a difference through organising peaceful, yet passionate protests) the fans who accepted the re-brand for the funds to buy a squad capable of reaching the Premier league to watch the prima donnas' of the football world for what turned out to be one season and then because that didn't work out turned on VT and went for a blue return after the horse had bolted (or the funds had been handed over).

I dislike VT intensely for selfishly changing our colours and I tried to show him my discontent by getting a refund on my season ticket and showing that I didn't accept his re-branding at any cost and I was stunned when that action was only taken by 68 others. I can sympathise with him that he feels confused that a large amount of those who did accept his re-brand and welcomed his money are now discontent because in the longer term it didn't work out.

Like you, I don't "represent" anyone except myself, but it is plain to see that the majority of fans have moved on to a large extent and only a comparatively small amount still bleat on about something they should/could have affected nearly 3 years ago!
I fully support the move back to blue, but not the "Tan Out at all costs and with no alternate plan in place" brigade, as I actually want/expect to see my beloved club survive beyond the temporary tenure of Vincent Tan. Only reasoned dialogue will change anything now, if Tan decides he really wants to engage!
Owners and/or Chairmen have come and gone before and some (one or two in particular) have IMHO done a lot worse to Cardiff City FC in real terms than Tan has when people take a reality check!
I do wear blue to games and I also join in the 19:27 thing, but in reality the paying supporters (and I include myself in that) missed the proverbial boat some time ago where Tan is concerned and only 'reasoned' dialogue (if he decides to engage) will achieve this and certainly not meaningless marches and protests with little or no real organisation, planning or focus!![]()
