Blind loyalty to the club ,I'm Cardiff through and through all I done is post the stats ,then bell end having a pop ,I don't think we were that bad as the stats show this to warrent the over reaction by some of the anti club people on this board who seem to love us to lose so they can push there anti club agenda

Loyalty can make you blind.

Blackpool are a shit team when they are at their best. Last night they had a depleted team. Those stats should be no surprise. Besides stats mean nothing. Look at the stats for the Brighton game and look at the result.

What has that got to do with it?

Last night they had 5 regulars out of it. They showed passion and determination and that is what won the game for them. We showed none of that until we went 1 down. Then our so called star strike force that made us favourites to go basically let us down. Smell the coffee Wez ffs.

Thank f*ck, another person like me who thought the same. We were not great, we had most of the possession, we passed it around well but we just did not create anything. Ravel however tried his best to create things but when he has Jones the only person ahead of him who does not make any runs, then we will not create much at all. We need a striker ahead of Ravel who is constantly on the move and who plays on the shoulder of the defenders. I cannot see us scoring many goals at all this season if we continue with Jones, as a lone striker or if he is 1 of 2 strikers. I say get him offvthe wage bill in January and re-invest the money back into the team. There are a few more big earners at the club who i hope will be moved on in January so we can replace them. I hope that we turn Ravel's loan into a permanent one in January or we sign a contract to say that he will be our player after his court case. As he is definitely the creative spark in midfield that we have been looking for. Now we need to work on our defensive midfield. However, if Slade can whip Kagisho Dickagcoi into shape, as he is the best defensive midfielder that we have at the club.

Bloooooobirds.

Stats mean f**k all to be honest. Everyone watched the game last night and we were utter shit against the worst team in the league.

Hard to say we were shit but... We didn't really do anything did we? Blackpool should of scored more if not for Marshall and some crap shots, i just never felt a goal was coming from us and always dread when Blackpool where near our box.

It was not Slades team, he starts now, but will need time, we are so unorganised and look unfit, he has one hell of a job to do but the players are definately good enough IMO..........

When we had the ball no bugger bothered to move into space. It became too easy for Whitts, Gunnar and co to tart about playing 5 yard sideways balls or 25 yard backwards (to Marshall). This invited more pressure. Blackpool however, especially that albino fouling little shit, were in our faces all game long.
When they had the ball, we backed off time and time again.

Worried that Uncle Fester isn't going to be nasty or ruthless enough with our over paid prima donnas. Personally I would have wanted Pulis or even Lennon. Lennon being a horrible little man from a team I cannot stand. But give him credit he bought very well and sold on for mega bucks. He also has had the support of the players.

Get nasty Mr Slade. Pass and move.

ps. Nearly forgot. Tell em to fecking shoot!

Marshall

Brayford
Magna
Turner (c)
Fabio

Dicagcoi

Noone
Kim
Burgstaller

Guerra
Jones

(Jones being in the side because of his defensive ability)
Opted for Kim as our defence needs an outlet who can at least control the ball and bring others into play.

Completely off-topic but we have friends from France staying with us next week who are both keen cooks. Wanting to impress them with my culinary skills, I today searched for recipes and googled 'classic French cream pie'. I was not exactly expecting the results it produced but I am now looking forward to their arrival more than ever.

Looking back on the highlights and where I watched the game I was on and off but I think I was wrong.. I just noticed we had a lot of the ball but that was because Blackpool didn't want to risk too much but credit to them they wanted it more and they deserved a win because they haven't been terrible by any means.. with the team we have we should have won comfortably but we need the hunger and effort.

My thoughts

Retained possession better than we have all season which was one plus and looked comfortable most of the game bar say 10/15 mins

We retained possession cos Blackpool parked the bus!! So no surprises for me with that stat

My problem was the fact that we lacked any cutting edge in the final third!!

You cannot play a 4-5-1 with a static striker, Morrison looked miffed most of the game as he'd get the ball in a decent position and had no one making runs into channels as jones is not mobile enough to do that anyone with half a footballing brain or a bit of tactical nouse knows you can't play a big man upfront in a 4-5-1 we looked far more dangerous last 10 mins when we had two up top running channels creating space for the midfield yes they weren't sharp enough and missed one or two decent chances but given a run of games le fondre will score goals confidence is just shot

If we play jones we have to play a second striker it's as simple as that for me and if we have a 5 man midfield we need a mobile striker, jones simply doesn't offer enough up top alone unless or full backs and wingers are offering far more than they did at Blackpool even then all we will see is cross after cross

If much prefer to see le fondre off ravel and daehli in a 5 man midfield so we actually get someone taking defenders away so that the AM's get some space and can cause some problems instead of a ball into jones feet and then lose Possesion

Jones is playing fine but just can't play in a 4-5-1 as he's not gonna run all game for you
