I don't care what he thinks. You earn respect from a fanbase & the way he disrespected this club's identity and traditions means that I PERSONALLY don't respect him one iota & certainly won't be singing the clown's name... EVER.

He should have earnt our respect when he saved us from going bust.

Then what motivation does he have to change the colours? absolutely none.

That's our problem. Too many of our fans want respect without giving any. Just like Newcastle fans we are awful, awful fans,

respect goes both ways. think of it from his point of view

I come in. Pour MILLIONS into the club.

Announce rebrand

Some fans say No thank you

I say, ok well, it's the rebrand or I'm going to leave it and go but another club

A much much much smaller portion of fans say no... most don't seem to mind, they'd rather have the investment

how ever many more thousands / millions spend on the rebrand

We go up to the premier league

still only a relatively small portion of the fans saying no thanks... we're in the prem and we;re not doing to badly!!

relegation

slide down the championship

Great deal more fans now vocal against red and saying they were blue the whole time

now I'm not saying anybody here was a Red and recently turned... but that's from Tan's point of view. Why should he respect you or any of your wishes if you (and I'm quoting here) "I PERSONALLY don't respect him one iota & certainly won't be singing the clown's name... EVER."

He did. Malaysian flags in the crowd, putting his countries name right in the front of the shirt. Then subsequently lost it again.

 I can't take anyone who write an open letter to VT to reverse the rebrand, whilst drinking tea out of a red mug and wearing a red scarf at games.

You couldn't make it up. :laughing5:

Yeah, cos the mug colour is soooo much more important than the feelings of my friends and family...

Wearing a red scarf to games after writing an open letter to VT telling him to abolish his horrible rebrand.

Yes, if I'm going to the game with my brother I wear my red scarf along with my blue shirt and hat.... He bought me the scarf... I'm not going to put my feelings before his... On account of the fact that I'm not a selfish asshole...

I wrote the open letter because, if you'd read it it's quite obvious, I disagree with the rebrand and it's my opinion that it should be reversed... That doesn't mean I'm going to push a present back into my brother's face.

If that's seriously all you've got to argue against the points I've made I'll consider it a job well done...

I can see some red in your avatar though... Can't believe someone would argue against the rebrand while they have red in their avatar...

You couldn't make it up...

I hate the red rebrand so much that I'm going to write a letter to Tan, but continue to wear my red scarf to games, because I hate it so much.

You know I'm right too, hence your ridiculous response of your last post. :laughing6:

I'm wondering what your point is...

As I said, if you think I'm going to put the feelings of my own brother and upset him... You must be quite a horrible person...

can't you be honest with your bro? if you can't tell him how you feel then you must be walking on egg shells with everyone you meet :P

That's what I'm thinking... Who the hell would put themselves or their own feelings before their family.

If it was an explanation of why we should all upset our relatives (when another option is to just wear it tucked into a coat... As mentioned...) seems absurd...

Maybe I'm just not a big enough fan...

I could. But what's the point? It's hidden away in my coat... I'm not waving it around everywhere... I don't check to make sure I'm not wearing red socks or a red belt... Why bother... All I make sure when going to a match is that I've got my blue shirt and hat... Apparently that's not enough though...

Where have I said it isn't enough? Please don't put words in my mouth. :thumbright:

I just wonder if you can see the massive hypocrisy in staging your own protest about the red rebrand, whilst wearing a red scarf during games. :laughing6: :laughing6:

There isn't any. I've already said why I sometimes wear it... And it seems you either don't want to or are not able to listen, so I'm gonna give up trying to talk to you.

People need to start to realise that without Tan we could possibly be on a one way train to that financial abyss I mentioned earlier.

I'll give you an answer....if a new owner refuses to turn us back to blue we continue campaigning.

I sometimes wonder if fans like you were around in the early 90s when we were at the foot of the dungeon league and being threaten of closure YET CAME THROUGH. All this bollocks about Tan saving us is just that. We have been a lot worse of than when Tan came through but survived and we would have survived now.

But we would have been saved by someone else, someone else would have bought us. Blah blah blah.

Steve Davies used to post on here and he was in court and said we would have been liquidated. Would have been far worse than Portsmouth and probably like Rangers. We would possibly end up in the Welsh league though.
