By the way, what's happening to the away end? Redevelopment?
The Gas will be back, so that rivalry has not completely gone away.
We're redeveloping 3 sides of the ground. Will happen in stages and increase capacity to 27 000. After a lengthy and unsuccessful legal battle with the residents association of a town adjacent to the land our chairman had bought to build a new state of the art stadium we cut our losses and opted to redevelop Ashton Gate instead. In someways a lot of fans are happy to be staying although Plan A would have undoubtably made the club more lucrative, and as we all know unfortunately its money that matters these days. Should look good when its finished although some are concerned it will dilute the atmosphere like a lot of these new stadiums do. Fortunately for me im living in Sri Lanka for the duration of the rebuild which is apparently causing a logistical nightmare on match days, and it will be finished right about the time i move back. And the way we're playing this year you guys should get to see it yourselves next season!
