Disagree. For me, the "true fans" of the club are the ones who support the club through the good AND bad times..

Secondly, I find it rich that any Swansea fan would bang on about boycotting against an owner, when Swansea fans themselves didn't boycott when Petty was around.

In fairness - I watched their movie the other day. Petty, of whom I knew little about before hand, was quite clear in saying that it was the Swansea fans that made him leave and he even had his car bricked. I think they made their feelings known in other ways. Petty wasnt taking over with the long term in mind either so a boycott would have been useless, come seasons end that club would have been no more they had to be pro active. Fair play to them, it worked.

As for us, 80% of our attendance is ST holders. It would be pointless, he would still get the bulk of the cash.

Petty never had his car bricked or rocks thrown at him. Most Swansea fans would agree with me on that except for the sensationalists amongst them.

The reason that people accepted it was because it was pretty much a case of "we're going red or we're dead"

Absolutely, it's better for us to be in blue, we SHOULD be in blue and the fans deserve no less at all... But if Tan were to pull out, where's the money going to come from to keep the club together at all?

Boycotting... just a fancy way of saying you're not going any more. And while that might be the right decision for you (and I wouldn't hold it against you) I don't think it's right to poke fun at or otherwise diminish the support of the folks who keep pulling on their blue shirts and going to the games.

The one having the fun poked out of him is me and my boycott rant!!! Maybe in hindsight deserved, I did prattle on a bit after a few Desparados, :sleepy2: :old: :laughing5:

It Was a threatened personal protest reaction to being told that Slade (I'd never heard of at the time) was a done deal, which to date of course it isn't (yet)!!! Guess My toys were being thrown out my pram, Strangely I have since warmed to Slade . But it has to be all out for Pulis for me it's bleeding obvious for where we are right now. And that put me in the RED zone! :bluescarf:

I remember going home from drawing 2-2 with Man Utd and telling the missus, a great result could have won, great football, a good drink but it just ain't the same, it doesn't feel right, still doesn't, the rebrand has hit some of us harder than others.

These are emotions and opinions that thousands of us have gone through since the rebrand and of course thousands have not, it was publicly my turn this time. I agree no mickey taking or name calling to either side , never have, we are divided enough, was interesting to read the diverse reactions, sums up where we are at the mo. Though in some ways we ain't learned nothing new about our fanbase' feeling. I know what I have always known like many of us, however hacked off we feel and however less enjoyable it is, it's bloody hard to walk away from something that's etched into your soul, many have, some of my best mates, haven't given them a hard time. So I guess......grit my teeth, fight the feelings, still have a moan and I'll Be There. :bluescarf:

Enough of this thread now. Procrastinating again and not liking the  Attention!
