As much as I disliked him,I dont want him,but with this squad,DJ could get us finally up.

This squad isn't good enough to get us up.....The midfield is the weakest I've seen at the club for many years.....no fight no pace and not much skill, even Nathan Blake has said we need to bring in 3 or 4 midfielders on loan who have pace.

He knows feck all

Please, not DJ, he was a decent manager at the time but not even Sheffield Wednesday want him now.

Jones is not a football man. Have you heard him as a pundit, he's utterly clueless. The job offers have been rolling in for him since he was sacked from Sheffield Wednesday

If he did however manage to get us promoted he would not be good enough to keep us in the Premiership. There is only one man out of the candidates that could take us up and keep us up and that man is Tony Pulis, his record speaks for itself. If reports are true and he would be intrested in coming here we should be bending over backwards to get him.

Spot on there is no comparison, I was fed up of Dave jones after a couple of seasons, to get him back for more than a week or two would be idiotic!!!

Jesus , NO , the players have no passion or go in them now , Christ knows how pathetic they would be with that lifeless t**t on the sidelines . :sad7: We should be going forward not further backwards as a club . :bluescarf: :old:

I work with a Sheff Weds fanatic, never mind fan, who hasn't stopped laughing since I told him this. Rates the guy as completely useless, didn't have a clue.

Why oh why are we going backwards, this club is so frustrating. I hope the only reason we are speaking to him is for advice only and not as our new manager.

It was Terry Burton who did all the hard work. Smiler used to pop to training once a week!

Drinking before important games and the motivation from the dug out to look forward to

I could see Dave Jones being offered the position of director of football, after all, didn't VT offer him that position before finaly sacking him? I'm sure i recall something along those lines.

As for the managers role itself, Kevin Cooper??? Would this not be yet another huge gamble on our clubs part?

What we are crying out for is an experienced head, with a proven track record at championship level, as a minimum.

Get this appointment wrong, & our future is going to be very bleak indeed!
