In my opinion Annis, our club cannot afford to wait that long. He should have gone last night, or at least by today.

Get Pulis in. ASAP.

Neil Lennon!!! I hope not, I think my Nan could win the SPL with Celtic
My first choice would be Pulis, what's Roberto Di matteo up to these days?he might be alright.

Would not want Neil lennon, agree there, Roberto Di matteo as far as I know is free, would Pulis come and be told go up or get sacked, I don't know. If he would think we all would take him  :ayatollah:

I'd prefer Jones/Burton than Pulis sorry. As good as pulis is, I'd rather the Jones/Burton playing style. He'd work wonders with this squad.

No one does that these days with so much compensation at risk

Lennon - unproven (anyone can boss Celtic to a title up there)

Matteo - unproven (the CL was won by the players that year not the manager, remember John terry directing things from the touchline in the semi-final)

pulis - won't get him

Jones - shouldn't go back

zola - too nice (ala Ole)

Curbishly/Hoddle - someone along those lines would be good. an experienced head, no more unproven managers please. we can't afford it.

I personally want him to be sacked, but you saw how long it took tan to "get his man" there is no way on earth he will sack him this side of Christmas just my opinion of course

I understand, but in our position, i don't think Tan can afford to wait that long. By Xmas we will be propping up the Championship.

Burton defo the brains and tactician respected by the players as well

I know you hate jones annis but I honestly throne he'd do a good job with what we have here now!! And could see is charging on under him, you have to admit we played the best football we've seen in a long time under jones

Don't think it would be long term possibly a stop gap until end of season and then who knows depending on how he does I suppose

I would not be surprised one but to see this happen

My choice for manager.

Neil Eardley at Wimbledon. He was with us before. A really good coach, very well thought of, doing a decent job with nothing in league 2!

Bring him in.

Re: I can see Ole going

Wed Sep 17, 2014 10:27 am

Annis you know my stance on the situation.....I would have got rid of Ole after the Norwich defeat.

But where does all this couldn't work with Tan bollox come from?

Tan was bang on the money over the Malkygate.......

......seems some of our fans are still buying into the tan circus bullshit that the media makes us out to be.

I remember jeff stelling and the boys taking the piss out of Tan over the Malky shite...didn't readdress the balance though when the truth finally came out.

Pullis would work well with tan in my opinion......he would spend his money wisely and show him a bit of respect.

Which imho is sadly lacking. (Oh I can hear Barry Chuckles) rebrand/respect us rant as I type).

what decent manager would work under Tan?

Darren, None in my opinion.

But money talks.

Tan seems to have some respect fort Dave Jones - could he possibly come back??!! ( With that squad he would at least do better than Ole )

Tan really likes Dave Jones, yes he could

I hate it when people say that !

Why wouldn't you want to work with him here .

Big ex premier league club
Large transfer kitty's every year and decent money January
Very good existing squad that just needs direction
New impressive stadium
Would be paid very well compared to other managers at this level
Would be given every tool needed by tan to be successful , just like he did for Malky and ole .

Tan has Made a lot of mistakes but you can't say he doesn't back his managers , most of the stories about him are blown out of proportion anyway !

I have to agree with this. The managers have been backed to the hilt and underperformed (some allegedly even ripping the club off). The mistakes have been the choice of manager. I made excuses for Ole taking over a sinking ship last season but even what he did in the prem when he took over from MM was dogshit. This season has been awful with the squad we have ...has to go

You were spot on... Meeting with Dalman today.

Time for a new manager and i would love to see Pulis take charge!

Re: I can see Ole going

IMO Tan should either sack Ole now, or aknowledge that promotion is out of reach this season and go for Ole as a long term project and accept that promotion will be very hard this season. Ole is a winner, but he is very unexperienced as a manager and Championship is a hard league that is hard to get out of.

In long terms i think Ole can be a very good manager. But taking Cardiff straight back to the PL needs more experience. Don't think Ole is the right guy going straight up. Anyway, saying Ole is clueless is nonsense.

That certain players saying bad things about their boss happens everyewhere. It is impossible to keep everybody happy.

My thoughts? A little bit more patience, Ole had slow starts every season with Molde, but then they became unbeatable in the rest of the season. Why that is, i don't know.

Rick, it looks like Ole is being sacked now at the meeting or being given a Director of football over him.

I would say sacked.
