The rugby player Hemi Taylor gave us a rugby tutorial. At about the same time we also had Lee Baddeley visiting our school because his mum worked there. Our swimming group also had a coaching session with Mark Foster. All three happened about the same time.

Early 90's and first 'proper job', met Clint Eastwood in what was the Neal Street restaurant, Covent Garden. Also met a lot of different bands on the set of an infamous 90's Channel 4 Friday night TV show including an unknown chap called Liam Gallagher and his band playing 'Supersonic'. Nicest celeb I met on the same show was Craig Charles when he was well known for Red Dwarf, very decent bloke, as was a relatively unknown Snoop Dog. Not to speak ill of the dead but met Paula Yates on The Big Breakfast set and she was less than impressive. Come to think of it, I was also not impressed by a coked-up and celebrity-deluded Daniella Westbrook who I bumped into a couple of occasions when she was in EastEnders.

Barry John for me too. He was the next door neighbour of a guy my father played rugby with for years.

I knew his daughters. They were lovely.

Well on one occasion the players had finished training and were back in the changing rooms at Ninian Park, I tried looking through the keyhole of the entrance door to the changing rooms to see if any of my heroes were about to come out, just as I put my head down for a peek the door opened abruptly and smacked me in the face..it was Jimmy Scoular on his way home, he asked me if I was alright and so as not to appear to be a softie I said yes, he gave me his autograph and ruffled my hair and apologised for the bang on the head.
