That would allow us to use dahlei in his best position and still use two wingers plus whitts range of passing .

The fact you got whittingham in that team means it's a shit team with no creativity or drive. You need to re evaluate that.

The fact you wouldn't have Whittingham in your team shows you either know nothing about football or you seriously need to re-evaluate your thinking on how football teams work .

He is a key player in this Cardiff squad which is proven by the fact he has played every minute of every game this year . ( and pretty much every other year since he has been here come to think of it )

Could say the same to you that you know nothing about football to have a 3 man central defense with john brayford a full back in and implement that tactic now which could see us being frail at the back, also we have been looking organized and pretty solid at the back thus far so only a numpty would change that.
As for whittingham your saying everyone else who don't rate him as a player no more (which there are many) your saying they don't have a clue about football or how football teams work)
Bit of a bull shit comment pal because last time I looked at all the top teams and players in midfield they don't pussy foot about in centre midfield like whitts does making little 5 yard passes from side to side, he has no urgency what so ever, never drives forward with the ball, never dribbles with the ball, never makes things happen and creates. He's got a sweet left foot and good at set pieces chipping in with a goal now and then but that's all he got. His overall play is not up to scratch. You tell me Thomas if he is as good as you are saying then why haven't a premiership club ever come in for him??
I'll tell you, because he isn't a complete midfielder and because of all of the points I've noted above.

Our defence has done ok , I wouldn't say solid . Plenty of times we have been cut open and have been lucky to get away with it this season .
Brayford can and has played centre back for other teams . He is a bit of a utility player in defence and can easily play a back 3 role using his pace as. Long as there is a big man next to him .
Pretty much every club has a whittingham , that type of player is needed to make the team tick .

Spurs - Christian erikson
Real Madrid - Luca modric
Barcelona - xavi
Man city - fernando
Liverpool - joe Allen

I could name more !

You very rarely see any of these players fly into tackles or take on 2/3 players , why ? Because that is not the job they are in the team to do !

Christian eriksan xavi fernando modric an joe Allen are all completely different class to whittingham what you going on about pal!
I ain't saying whitts needs to fly into tackles or take 3/4 players on, all of them players you mentioned though are fast and urgent on the ball can dribble and move forward with the ball and also creative players who who make things happen, whitts dosent and as a lot of city fans agree with hasent done for a long time now.

You said the top teams don't have a player like that . They do , yes I agree they are all better than whitts but that is irrelevant . The point is you need that player to come deep to collect off the defence and be able to turn and start off our attacks .His range of passing is fantastic and can pick out a player anywhere on the pitch . ( like the ones I mentioned ) .
He is in the team to do exactly that , not go and beat a few players or put in crunching tackles . He is the only player in the team capable of playing that role , without him we are a hell of a lot poorer and we will revert back to our centre backs lumping the ball forward every time we win it.
He is also the best dead ball specialist in the league by a mile , and probably one of the best in the premier league as well, without his crosses from corners and free kicks we would score a hell of a lot less goals .

Yes but your missing my point he might be able to collect the ball and pass the ball neatly from the defense but he lacks any urgency in doing so, and he dosent offer any creativity in attack. You say he has a great range of passing but I haven't seen it, the only player with a great range of passing last year was Gary medel, can't see us ever agreeing on whitts but what I'm saying is he is way too slow and lacks urgency and drive and creativity. If you disagree with my opinion that's fine but just leave it at that.
