Unfortunately as left wing.

...In a 4-4-2 with Joshua King...
Ugh

Seems weird to use King as a striker - plays right wing for Blackburn, right?

Will be exiting to see what Daehli can accomplish on the left flank, anyway. Elabdellaoi on the left back is a great player - could be an interesting link there.

Elabdellaoui right back*

But yes, King is a two-sided winger, but can "fill in" as a forward. I think he's not up to international standard at all. Would be better to use only Elyounoussi up front and go with an extra body in midfield, like Tettey. But our coach seems dead-set on 4-4-2 :x (where have we seen this before?)

Granted, having King there does give some tactical flexibility towards being able to switch formation on-the-fly. Maybe that's what he's going for. Elyounoussi can drop down to left wing, King can drop down to right wing, if needed. (Neither Dæhli at LW or Ciljan Skjelbred at RW are natural wings, but rather central attacking midfielders)

Tactical options are nice and all, I just think we have dead weight up front personally. Time will tell.

Clearly a very defensive approach by Norway in a 4-5-1-formation. Sad to see that Daehli mostly operates as a second right back, since Norway are pushed into playing so deep and most of the action is on the English' right side.

Mats looks good whenever he gets the ball in his feet though, but quite invisible this first half. 0-0 the score at half time.

Awful images here, Dæhli down after a challenge and in pain. Play has stopped for a while.

Looks like it's either a lower back or hip twist.

Edit: Thigh/ groin strain judging by position of ice bag.

Hard to say if it's serious, but it certainly looked like he got a little twist in his knee when making a tackle. He looked in pain and shook his head as the medics put his leg i a thingy to prevent movement in the knee when carrying him off.

Fingers crossed - looked very sharp in the beginning of this second half. :!:

Had a bright start to the second half, could have scored if his team mate wasn't such a selfish tw*t. Hopefully he isn't seriously injured. Looked in pain though.
