seems like almost everyone has missed the point of the question.

if the question was: promotion or the cup? then its obvious its promotion.

but in the senario that we DONT get promoted but DO win the cup; would you class it as a success?

personally i don't see how it could be seen as anything other than success, all you have to do is look at the teams that have won it to see it is taken seriously (with one notable exception of course ;) )

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!

Many clubs have struggled with juggling league and European fixtures. Those clubs have often been established PL sides but have risked relegation or even dropped through the trapdoor because of the rigours of travelling, playing in difficult conditions and coping with injuries.

For me, promotion. Some have said they'd rather have Cardiff written on a trophy. You get a trophy for gaining promotion as Champions!! If our aim is to become debt-free, PL is the only target.

Depends on the Bournemouth team on the night , their 1st choice team should beat our fringe team squad but if they adopt the same approach and rotate their team then City have a great chance of progress .

With the squad we have, would you consider getting to the final (possibly even winning the cup) but not getting promoted being a success ?

Obviously our number one aim this season is promotion but if we fail on that target but made it to Wembley and perhaps win the cup, would you think that this would then be a successful season ?

Many of us dont want promotion. Many of us dont want to be ripped off again in the plastic league. But a trip to Wembley would be nice.

My aim is finish 3rd and lose play off semi. I hate the PL. Not ready to return. Actually WINNING a cup final would be awesome but who can tire of Wembley?! Other teams would kill to go just once.

My dream for 46 years was to see us play in the top division. Unfortunately, our stay was all to brief, but I will always want my team to be as successful as they possibly can be, and for me the top tier is the ultimate dream. A nice cup run would be good, but the league always takes priority in my book.
