Would make sense anyway to have a permenant base, they wouldn't have to fuk around so much arranging security, transport and hotels. Or hold their meetings on an air force base like brize Norton or St athans where security is already in place, lay on a few bunk beds in the dorm or whatever

It ain't the World Cup where it goes to a different country each time   I reckon it should go to the North Pole next year or is it every four years ? :laughing5:

UK government is paying the bill. Flatholme has no facilities. You can just get on with your life?

Out of my tax........I would rather they give it to the NHS instead of massaging their ego's.And ask the people who have to travel into Cardiff for work or along the M4 if they can just get on with their lives.

Of course your job is more important than a meeting between the world leaders in times of such unrest! :notworthy:

All the instability: Russian military cross Ukraine border, ISIS slaughter minorities in Syria and Iraq. This is the most important NATO summit since the could war.

Indeed, but sadly people at large neither care or have any awareness of where all this unrest could lead!

Are they???? :? :?

Or are NATO funding as an Organisation???? :? :?

A coup for Cardiff and Newport in my opinion, as it shows Wales is now firmly on the political map and also how much the city has grown since my early days!

Newport (or The Celtic Manor Resort at least) can be rightfully proud of their involvement too!

All the towns and cities in the world AND THEY CHOOSE OURS! :P

Dim problem in my book

Croeso i Gymru i gyd  :ayatollah:

Swansea gets feck all as usual :laughing6:

Mark my words, something bad will happen during this.
Hopefully not on our doorstep.
Recently jihadists from Cardiff.
I will keep away from the big city's, town centres for a bit.

Your right about the protestors, looks like they have set up camp in Tredegar Park :happy1:

As a NATO employee and having an insight into the planning fo the SY for the event I can 100% state NATO will foot the bill and the amount of advertising this brings south Wales is huge. Even if Newport for some reason isn't titled.

To have such a meeting held in Newport and being entertained in cardiff is a privilege when you see the past cities who have held this.

It's a cover up.
They are just testing and running mock security measures in different locations.
Coincedently they never use to do this before
