He is probably not basing it on that, but on 10 in 10 last year in a poor Brum team, pre season and last night, he will be right up there.
The only problem for our strikers, is that they have competition for places, so probably won't play as many games as Deeny and Rhodes who are tipped to be the best this season.....

don't forget his 8 substitute appearances. I'm afraid i would rate your other strikers as better than macheda, but then thats just me.
your right, if fit i would expect deeney to start every league game. he is however ably backed up forestieri and vydra.

True you have three good strikers, underestimate Mechada at your peril though, we have four really good strikers and Maynard and Mason on loan are decent.....
I think Mechada is right up for this season .... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=146572

He scored 10 in 18 at a struggling Birmingham, 8 appearances as a sub. He struggled after bursting onto the scene as a youngster (maybe thought he had made it already) but seems to have got his head down again. He has excellent potential and I have a gut feeling he is going to be excellent.
As for Deeney and Rhodes, I would take Deeney over Rhodes. On the few times I have seen Rhodes play I haven't been overly impressed.
I think Maynard will leave, with Macheda and Guerra being our main strikers and Jones and Le Fondre off the bench.
Personally I wouldn't swap our strike force with anyone else in the Championship, although Deeney and Vydra could be excellent

If I had to pick one it would be Deeney. He's been consistently effective for 3-4 years now. If Watford don't go up I can see a bottom half premier team picking him up. Pal-arse for example.

I said you had the best attacking threat since the start, and I stand by it. Ighalo has really surprised me, Deeney's bang in form at the moment. I'd probably say Deeney is the best striker in the Championship overall, Rhodes is the best finisher. If I had ot go for one I'd go for Deeney for the strength and workrate over Rhodes.

Jerome is ahead of Grabban on the team sheet, and Wilson is Bournemouth's best striker.

Very fair assessment. A lot of you cardiff chaps are very level headed.
