They said the difference between having a paperwork trail and a non paperwork trail is the difference between having a 4 and a 5. Its only to protect yourself if someone cried fool and they can trace the food chain and it certainly wouldn't drop you anymore than one mark

Congratulations, thousands of people have also done this course including myself!! :sleepy2: :sleepy2: :sleepy2:

I was, as I told you before my background is in science "not in transport" as previously assumed, prior to the initial investigations all his meat was tested in severn trent laboratories in Bridgend, I used to test it then. When Mason Died I was working at Llandough Hospital Cardiff where all the raw meat samples were sent for testing, so I was obviously involved in that also.

But yet others seem to support what could be similar cases because 'they taste nice'!!!

Maybe analogy would be: if your children played in a playground for years and then after a downpour then rain washed away soil which then uncovered a old WW2 bomb. Now as a parent would you allow your children to continue to play around that bomb because it's never exploded in the past while they have been playing or would you say no, until that bomb is removed you aren't going to play there again..?

Each to they're own I guess but more often than not its the suppliers which are the main problem in the chain when it comes to food poisoning!

Each to their own ? I'd rather call it neglect from parents especially if they knew of the risks beforehand

But do they know the risks ? To be fair its been going on for years and still does now.. Only a few months back I was driving along cowbridge road east and I happened to notice a 7.5tonne lorry on the side of the road with the back doors wide open, naturally as I got closer I looked inside only to see hanging pig carcasses in what I would say was a filthy, stinking uncooled environment. It was clear that these were about to be delivered and of course at some point enter our food chain.
I didn't see where these were being delivered, I did however take the numberplate and send the info onto the appropriate department but nobody would ever know if these were to end up in a 5 star hygiene rated food facility...

I'm just in shock at that the posts earlier in this thread. Can't believe someone would put his own children even after knowing the risks!!! :o

I could go on and on about this subject because its my forte, I was a microbiologist in food poisoning for years I used to test food day in day out, unfortunately the lack of knowledge is what puts people at risk!

Browny have you even got kids cos your acting like a complete bellend !
Just because of low food hygeine ratings on a takeaway doesnt allways mean its dangerous to eat from there. If that was the case then the place would be closed down.
Id advise you put your drink down and watch the lip. Just because people have different views than yourself.
You really do bring this forum down with your selfish posts. I understand debating but clearly you think your mr perfect thats never wrong. Totally understand now why people think of you as they do

Surprised only one place had a one star rating by me in Bargoed. Our regular Chinky had a rating of 5 so happy with that.

I think it's worth bearing in mind that you're probably more at risk eating food cooked at home than you are at most restaurants. Sadly the latter face most of the blame though, as people never consider they might have given THEMSELVES food poisoning.

Look at the increase in food poisoning complaints that usually get logged each summer. People are out in their gardens having BBQs, but when they get sick, it MUST be from that one place they are at the day before which has no food poisoning allegations against it, as there's no way they could have got it from their own BBQ food ;)

That said, I think a lot of low ratings are often down to lack of knowledge. We should be making people go through every food safety certificate under the sun, when they are about to open a new food business.
