Of course it hurts, it's Cardiff City. If it didn't hurt I believe I'd have to question my commitment.
61 now and any defeat puts me down in the dumps for a few days, always been the same since I was old enough to understand what it meant to be a City fan, then of course you have to put up with the taunts from the plastics.
The rebrand has made no difference to me as far as feeling down after a defeat, still a shit feeling.

Absolutely!!!! I'm 53 and started following the City in '68 - still hurts when we lose.

I have a coping mechanism that only broke down after we lost to Blackpool

It works and takes me about 10mins to recover. I was gutted but very proud of the players when we lost CC final.
The spanner in the works is referees, that can take 2 days hating the ref/lineo for a bloody awful performance. If we are beaten fairly, I can get over it quickly

If we lose and the players have given 100% then its not too bad, its when we lose without giving our all thats when I get annoyed.
