With the Germany 7 - Brazil 1 and the Netherlands 5 - Spain 1, the bookies must have made a killing at this world cup. Nobody in their right mind would bet those scores.

It seems that I was wrong as one punter bet £5 at 500/1 on Germany winning 7 - 1 and ten punters bet Holland to beat Spain 5 - 1 at 500/1. If I ever learn how to travel back in time there's a nice 250500/1 double.

Doesn't bode well for England either as Germany scored more in this one game against Brazil than England have scored in the last two world cups combined.

Somebody mentioned the Reading play off game earlier - just think how much worse off Brazil could have been if they had Steven Bywater and Jlloyd Samuel playing for them...
