My view is that referees have to take some responsibility here, particularly where there has been a foul but not quite enough to send the player sprawling to to the ground.

Time and time again we saw last season that unless you hit the floor you don't get a penalty. Players get no encouragement to try and play through the foul and stand on their feet because of they don't go down in an obvious, immediate action then the refs won't give a penalty.

Until refs change then players will always go down as if they have been shot and, where there has been a foul, who can blame them ?

If you get caught does it matter really how you go down, if there's contact it's penalty.

If Noone went down like that in a FA Cup Final for us in the last minute would you give a crap how he goes down if hes caught? Doubt it.

Yes I would actually, as he would be a cheat. Robben didn't get caught as certain people state he dived end of, and this is why modern football is so difficult to put up with.

I didn't miss it, I just don't see it as actual contact as the defender just placed his foot in front of his (which I agree is idiotic) so he done his ballerina act to get a penalty. He is a first class cheat - but great player! !

I do agree if you look at it from the view if there is enough contact to give or it isn't enough but the one for Robben is a clear penalty, I can understand complains about how he went down but to call it a dive is pure nonsense.
