Why do we need the rebrand?? why did snickers change from the marathon? why did Opel fruits change to Starburst simple, to attract a new market and to attract new investment.

You doubt he will invest this money? do you know him personally?? do yo know his plans? all this is doubt simply because he is making changes you dont like, and people are using the rebrand to plant doubt in peoples minds.

Listen, he is a businessman, whether you like it or not, these changes will go-ahead until anyone comes up with an alternative. You state that your question never gets answered? My own opinion is below.

Its an investment, not a purchase. He did not buy CCFC because his grandfather was a fan or he lives in Ely, he is a businessman, he bought the club to make money, people who are self made billionaires are smart, not stupid, this guy is building the biggest shopping mall in the world, he ownes the rights to McDonalds in malaysia, he is a very clued up individual.

He has promised upto £100 million in total, this includes what he has already put in, including moneys to safeguard CCFC in the up and coming season, has promised future expansion of the CCS and promised future development of a world class training facility.

Why?? for £100 million he may get the following -

1) World Class Training Facility
2) Sustainable playing squad with a significant value
3) World Class stadium with possible naming rights
4) Possible Premiership Football
5) Sucessful brand awareness in Malaysia and possible China.
6 ) Debt free club

Look up Man Utd, a club millions upon million in debt, yet worth Billions in the open market.I know Man Utd maybe an exceptio and I doubt that CCFC will ever be as big, but this is a risk they are taking. Read the below as this confirms Man Utd to be worth a possible £2 billion.

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/67f3c41c-b6ed ... z1yR6HW5ho

If someone walks into the club in say 2 years, he could sell for £2-300 million?? or even more, there is your answer, he may sell for 4 or 5 times the amount he invested, remember this is an investment not a lifelong purchase.

I hope this could be a possible answer to your question, because from a business point of view, this guy is a genius.

I have one question also? what are the alternatives to this investment?? do you have surplus of £70 million hanging around? what are the other possible options?

And that post does not make sense? It's a business Annis, when will you ever understand, I think you'll also find not once did I compare CCFC to a chocolate bar, please grow up.

The following are facts

The clubs fan base is divided big time
The debt has risen more and more
We are back in the Championship
Season ticket sales are down on the previous 2 years
We are not Debt Free
The brand did not do well in Asia or Malaysia, failed big time
Training facilities still not done

What ever you try to twist or say you have to admit the above are all Facts yes or no ?

Annis, you mention all the above yet celebrate when the club signs players? Slight contradiction don't you think?

You keep mentioning debt, Man Utd signed a a players for £30m yesterday, and there debt is close to a billion! There is no way in a million years, tan will walk away with a loss, you know this yet bang on about it all day.

Didn't your mate Sam ring up £30m debt buying our way out of leagues 1&2?? Let me teach you something, a business cannot grow without the use of debts, you keep forgetting we have assets, sustanable ones. The stadium must not be approx £60-70m, let along £50M+ on the playing squad.

You keep forgetting, we all support one club, something you keep forgetting. You just like insulting ones who still support the club in its current situation.

Looks OK , like the attoylla thing. I will not by red though until the home shirt is blue with proper badge. I am not against red as long it does not wipe out blue and our heritage. I prefer red to yellow, and I see a lot of yellow on past kits.

great post didn't see that before

Wez, 2012 and has that all happened ?

Most of it has annis only time will tell if it all does

Wez the following are facts

The clubs fan base is divided big time
The debt has risen more and more
We are back in the Championship
Season ticket sales are down on the previous 2 years
We are not Debt Free
The brand did not do well in Asia or Malaysia, failed big time
Training facilities still not done

What ever you try to twist or say you have to admit the above are all Facts yes or no Wez?
not facts yet annis ,people in Asia never heard of Cardiff city untill last season so we will wait and see if the rebrand in the future was or wasn't a success over there
We have always been divided annis ever since I've been going always been protesting against chairman and different manger s nothing new there ,regards the debt it's now only owed to one man now not to every Tom dick and Harry on a fictional company like Langston ,I do believe he has to convert most of the debt as this was part of why people like me put up with the rebrand ,training ground is going through planning ,

I actually think that boycotting the stand completely will hurt Tan more than anything. The TV cameras would expose the red sham every home game if the stand was empty. If anything, the atmosphere would improve because the other stands would be full. Just an idea......but imagine Tan explaining to his mates every game why the red seats are empty. He'd be fuming.

Didn't say that. My point is that you're friends with people who are clearly against the re-brand etc, but we can't debate with them. Whereas on a forum people have plenty of different opinions, maybe I'd take your posts from FB over actual ex players or managers but these are just normal people on a social network website so I don't care

Would any of you be complaining about the colour of the seats in the new stand if we still played in blue
I am against us being red and always have been but in all honesty I believe that the red and blue seats match up well and the ayatollahs look superb
I think that deep down most of you think that also, but because of your hatred of the rebrand anything that you see red at the club then it's shit and whatever other name comes in your head
We all have to except what is done is done and let's get a life and cheer our team back to the premier and if we do make sure Tan keeps his promise over a rethink on what colour we play in in the future

Thats a fair point but the way I see it, this is yet another opportunity for Tan to chip away at our blue heritage. It might only be a few thousand seats, but he has wrecked the look of the whole stadium by doing this. He's clearly still miffed at the pro blue protests and this is just a way of showing us who's boss.
The man is a fruitloop and so are his parasitic hangers on. The club could have made a fortune if we had returned to blue. These seats are the actions of a very spiteful man.......and a group of spineless weasel advisors. Disgraceful.

Do you honestly believe anyone who buys merchandise, tickets or even a match day programme supports the red? If that's the case do Carl and Annis support it? Do they not attend matches? Do they not cheer when we score in red? Oh right.

I have not bought a programme, merchandise, food or anything else from the club for 2 years other than my season ticket.
If I am honest it took me 17 games to clap them in 2012,then I thought its not Malky's or the players fault, cheer them on.
