When do the clubs have to submit the upcoming seasons colours ?
Your second sentence is exactly what my earlier point was concerning. If vt changed his mind to compromise after the red head been submitted then his hands are very much tied for this season so to say "it isn't good enough" is a bit unfair. Let's see what happens the season after next
Genuine question natman, do u want blue back? I think your a decent poster and I think u get too much shit. But I've never seen anyone defend the rebrand as much as u?
The Red really doesn't bother me. I don't aim to defend the rebrand, I think too many people have developed an opinion of tan akin to a caricature and see far to much misinformation and mischievous nonsense posted on here and I just try to strike a balance and keep it real.
I would be happy if we went back to blue but I'm quite happy in red too. Colour just really doesn't bother me as to me is still the same club. Other clubs have changed colour down the years too I just wonder sometimes what the big difference is.
The point I try to put across is if people want to go back to blue then they should go about achieving it the right way (without driving tan out, being abusive to him or other fans).
Technically we are same club but our true identity is blue with a bluebird on the badge. The whole rebrand has screwed the club. A divided fanbase. What must happen is a return to blue. That would unite fans nod get people behind the team. Next season ive decided that away games are the way forward. Will do 1 or 2 homes but the last 2 seasons have hurt seeing my team in wrong colour at home.
Totally understand what this despicable rebrand has done to loyal fans like you Garerh![]()

A couple of questions
Have you bought the Red?
Do you accept the Red?
Do you want the BLUE back?
To be fair to this I think I need to answer these questions, as I feel I'm one of those between a Rock and a hard place.
1) I have bought the red - When in the sale. I bought the Blue away kits first then the red when reduced... Why? Well I have every home shirt since following the City since 2000....I want my "collection" complete? Does this make any sense?
Do I wear red....not often. But I had a red hoodie for xmas. Don't wear it to games, but do when I go training.....its a quality jumper bought from a well meaning person, but in the wrong colour.
2) Personally - Not really. I see it as a national colour and a natural choice for an away shirt but NOT home, Cardiff, the city colours (and rugby team) are known for Being BLUE as Swansea is white, Newport Amber and Neath Black. I wear blue to games as often as I can - I even own a blue fleece to wear to games!!
However, its the crest that gets me more than the colour. Worryingly, I was recently decorating my classroom - I bought the retro flag from the stadium, and I have my old Sam era bluebird on a St david's flag, flag. The Pupils (all aged between 11-16 in an inner city cardif school) all wanted to know where the flag with current badge was - "where's the "real" badge they all asked".....
(BTW if anyone has the "normal" crest ( The Bluebird, Dragon and Daffodil crest - 90s to 2002 / Ridsdale era) on a 5x3 flag to help educate these misguided fools, please let me know, I can't get one for toffee!!)
3. 1,000,000,000% yes I want blue back!! Hence why I've already ordered a CCFC Trust shirt. Will I get the home kit this year - well....as in Q1. In the sale, at the end of the season....probably, for these reasons stated.. Will I be wearing blue to matches? YES!!!
4) Not up there, but an Issue - ANY CCFC merch I want (mug for work, pens, pencils etc) all have the new badge on them (retro aside). I do try to limit what I get in the shop these days, but at the same time I want to show support for the team (and city) I Love...which puts me in this "getting at gunpoint" feeling everytime I DO decide to get something Cardiff City to replace my old tattered items.
Unfortunatley red is now part of CCFC history - I think it'll be interesting to see what the view of supporters are 20/30 years from now who never lived through this rebrand...hopefully we'll be in blue by then and red will be accepted as our "traditional" 3rd kit!!
Cheers for being the only one to answer the questions/straight and honest![]()
Total Respect to you![]()
