Yes, I used go to The Nurburgring a lot on the bike and it was 500 miles each way, so we used to vary our route; usually coming off at Junction 38 and down through the picturesque valleys and "The Highway to Hell"
Fabulous place, Germany and sub-9 minute laps of the Nordschleife on an R1 (top reachable speed of 170mph+) make it all worthwhile, even if the Porches and Ferraris are sailing past like you've stopped!
Sorry, I digress! Belgium is highly recommended and (subject to current issues) I would like to be there too!
