nothing in this whole world could make me want our club not to be the best in the league and progress. I'm against the rebrand but fans wanting our club to fail, under any circumstances, is baffling!

also...we're more likley to get sold as a prem team than a champ team so really, you might just have to bite the bullet and actually support the club you ...you know....support

There are many of the older heads who think along the same lines as Nukes and I can see their point. However may I pick you up on your point that saying the club is more likely to be sold as a Prem team. Do you have any evidence of that..? There are more and more non-Premiership teams these days that are being sold simply because its cheaper and the profits of that Promotion are there. You buy a Premiership team then the mark-up just isn't as much if you are outside of the top four.

you're right about why people buy champ clubs and tan knows that another promotion would make him more money (or he would stand to lose less depending on the situation come may). I didn't word it as clearly as i'd liked.

even if i was completley wrong, in my eyes theres no reason not to want the best results for your club. if you want your club as this exclusive little thing like it was in the 90s (when u were supporting merthyr ) then fine. but its counterproductive and i think most people, even the most hardline of fans, want the club to do well on the pitch regardless of circumstances off it

Imagine wanting your own team to lose to get rid of an owner who'll be leaving soon

This season is going to be a struggle and with the fixtures now out I can really see the knifes being out early on if things don't go well. Just my opinion but Ive never rated Ole as a manager and unfortunately can see being very similar to many other clubs who have been relegated from the Premiership who have struggled

Sorry but history tells you that not all the teams react well the following season after relegation. I would have thought that's more realistic than negative wouldn't you..?

if that is the case (which it isn't bearing in mind the amount I have given the club over the years) then I would say that people like you want this forum to be a propaganda tool for the club and everything on here has to be positive. I have said that this is my opinion which lets be honest isn't worth a thing so why do people like you get so worked up..? it doesnt really matter to be fair, there's never an excuse to wish that upon anyone, even if it is on a forum and you can hide behind your keyboard.

It's not brain dead , but very twisted. Like Brownie said, he is not the only one. And they are above the club, since it's been robbed of "their" identity. Just wait to season starts. Same people will be on critizing and wishing bad on the club. But I'm thinking they are in for a surprise.
