When are people finally going to start realising that England are never as good as everyone says they are.

I think the bookies quoting them at 28-1 to win the cup were the realists just the silly pundits building expectations again.

I agree with that as I never thought they were good enough to win it, but they are good enough to get past the group stages, they just made a few simple very costly mistakes.

I think 28/1 was a terrible price when Chile were 40/1 in comparison. Chile proved before the world cup they are a better team by outclassing England at Wembley. But obviously, the gullable English keep backing England while dismissing superior opposition which is why England's odds are always way shorter that it should be.

England have Italy and Uruguay in their group, I wouldn't say that's any easier.
