He is a quality player have said that from day one. Yes, he started well then tailed off towards the end of the season, but he didnt have the quality around him. Whittingham and other midfield players hatdly helped him in midfield at all, it was always left for Medel to do. He is so more effective and influential playing with better players for a better team. Personally, i hope that we loan him out for the season and WHEN we get promoted again he can come back. Or if we receive a bid equal or greater than the price that we paid for him, then i would sell him. Some people on here have said that we may be willing to accept £6m for him, however the way he is playing in the World Cup then i cannot see us letting him leave for anything under £10m. I'm pretty sure that after the World Cup is over, there will be a whole host of Big European Clubs interested in buying him from us.

Bloooooobirds.

If Gary Medel signs for a team that qualifies for the Champions League group stage I will not post on here for a whole month, anyone care to bet against me?

Football fans are so fickle :laughing6:

Lets forget the 38 game season he just had or the very average game last week, he was good today so he must be awesome :D

And Martyn Ryan jnr using it to prop up his ridiculous opinion that you must be class if you play well at the world cup is bizarre, im sure Real Madrid were hammering down Diouf's door

Hes average, available for average money and only average clubs want him - average. :thumbright:

Fickle.

Still does not alter my opinion of his season with us.

Considering all the stories about him being a battler, pitbull and all that nonsence, I never seen much of it in the last 2-3 months of the season. As for the start of the season I dont think he done his job totally there either. He was bought as a defensive midfielder to break up attacks, but he did not do enough of that for me.He played well in our first 15 games then seemed to tire quickly, maybe the pace of the premiership caught him out.He was good on the ball and kept possession well, allthough he never made many killer passes,Something McPhail used to get murdered for.If we can get our money back or somewhere near it id move him on now coz his heart wont be here after the world cup.

One word for you "IDIOT"

Do you think he had a good season for us? Yes or no?

Regardless of whether or not he is playing well for Chile he had a terrible season for us and that's all that matters. People licked his arse because he had tough guy image (No evidence of that), a foreign name and a big transfer fee. He was shite end of.

Yeah, because we did SO well when he didn't play.

Anyone with any sense could see he was carrying us.

He was superb until he got injured and then he came back too early and struggled for 6-8 games before finally giving in when we were down.

Maybe there are a few of our fans who can't remember back before Christmas.

By the way, nothing to do with a 'hard man' image -if anything that worried me, but he did well, controlled his aggression and didn't get sent off or suspended. Just the fact he was the only player in our side who could both win the ball and retain it.

THIS. Couldn't agree more.

Cornelius was the biggest waste of money in the history of CCFC. Doesnt automatically mean your right about everything else just because you called it. :laughing6:

In fact, looking back on the thread where every medel game was tracked - his ratings didnt fluctuate that much from beginning of season to end. He was never carrying anyone or anything (apart from too much weight). He had a good game against Fulham away and against Swansea home - he dined out on that for the rest of the season at the pleasure of the fickle fans seeing what they wanted to see.

Thats the truth of the matter.

Thats the point. Everyone wants to forget the average or crap games and count the good ones and use that as the barometer of his ability. The fact the good games were in a ridiculous minority seems by the by with some. If we did that with everyone then Peter crouch would be the best striker in world football, he isnt of course because for every good game he has about 20 average/crap ones.

As i said, people see what they want to see.

The Bony thing I was winding you up, he had a relatively poor game against Japan in my opinion, so I posted about it, you bit about him being class last year (which i actually agree with really) but since I knew you would keep taking my point about him being shite against Japan back to last season's form, just thought I'd let you keep biting by disagreeing with everything you said, you've done it to others enough times, thought you would have clocked. :ayatollah:

Playground nonsense. Im deadly serious. Without stats you'd be fucked.

Stats are just one part of it. There is more to it than that. Arsense & Brendan can see a player playing football with their own eyes and know if he is performing or not. Just because you cant doesnt mean its the same for evryone else. :laughing6:

You cant decide whether you want to accept you were being an idiot and incredibly wrong or just trolling, in which case you are.... a troll. Im sure you will come to a decision soon :D

I post what i feel, if i agree then i will agree, if i dont then i wont. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise. As for Medel - he is proving nothing other than he plays decent for Chile from time to time. If your theory was correct then he wouldnt have only average teams wanting him for such a pittance - he went to you when on the open market remember.

People know im right a scarily large amount of times so when i say something they hope isnt true then they attack it - if thats me taking over threads and winding people up then so be it, at least its the truth. Id be more inclined to feel sorry for someone who feels the need to come onto an internet forum to post views that arent his just to try and get a reaction and then assume people should know thats what his intentions are. Bizarre :laughing6:
