You'll go under just has quick with £30 mill debt or £100 mill debt....

...as for can't understand the mentality, let me explain.
I haven't got the sort of funds that can make a difference to Cardiff City FC. Tan has so he has control and there's feck all I can do about it so I don't waste my time Medellin in other peoples affairs.

If Tan wants to turn his debt into equity then he will and if he don't he won't.

In the meantime I'm getting on with my life and looking forward to the fixture list coming out on Wednesday.
Lovely evening tonight ain't it folks. ;)

' REVEALING VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH VINCENT TAN '

Also 1 CEO on Tan's behalf has since this video said Tan will convert all his loans to equity :thumbright:

http://www.itv.com/news/wales/update/20 ... -ceremony/

I came across this 17 min video last night, it is from July 18th 2013 when Vincent Tan received a honorary degree from the University of South Wales, there have been many questions about the debt to equity swap and when it would take place etc.

In this video Tan outlines his plans to convert all his loans to equity once he has settled the Langston loan notes, you will note that Tan says once he has done everything he will have invested £120m into the club.

A few have argued that financial fair play and Tan had only put £50m in when he stated he would convert all his loans to equity but by his own admission, less than 12 months ago, financial fair play was not an issue then and he was prepared to settle all of his loans.

Tan was also very supportive of Malky Mackay and Craig Bellamy in this piece but less than one month after this interview the fall out had already started from the players bonus row and the trust he had in Malky had gone in the same timeframe.

Looking back and listening with the knowledge of what has happened since makes this, for me anyway, interesting viewing.

I remember the media headlines to this interview was about the 5% 'disruptive, negative and ungrateful' fans and the 'days away' agreement with Langston but I have never seen this video until now.

Below are some of Tan's quotes from the interview, if you got 17 minutes and are interested in the politics of football, you may enjoy watching.

http://www.itv.com/news/wales/update/20 ... -ceremony/

'When I convert everything then the club will be financially stable, we would like to do that so the club is not under any threats.'

'I am someone who believes in don't worry about crossing the river until you reach the riverbank, so when we get there we will worry about how to cross!'

'Like I always say 'Never say never!'

'We have a good combination, we have a good manager (Malky Mackay), good squad, Craig Bellamy and combined with 'Lucky Red' we got promoted'

'We would like to make the club more recognisable in Malaysia, hopefully we will get some Malaysian shareholders, personally I would like to list (float) the club in Malaysia to give it a higher profile in Malaysia and Asia.'

'We are talking to Sam Hammam about resolving the Langston issue, we are days away from an agreement, hopefully we can get that done and I can then convert all my loans to equity and make the club financially much more secure and hopefully debt free, that is my goal to make the club debt free!'

'The club won't be under any threat and after that we have to manage it prudently.'

I think a lot has changed since then Carl people weren't protesting and malky hadn't blown all the transfer funds on crap

Wez, protests were already underway and that was why Tan said he was disappointed with a section of fans.

I don't think Tan can blame Malky's transfers either as Tan gave him the amount to spend.

The protests if any were nothing more than by a small minority at that time. BU. Were on their own with hardly any support to mention. I think it was Aug 25th 2013 the first meaningfull protest took place from the Castle gardens to grangetown. I dont recall the trust or the boards being supportive as such , in fact at the later protest this board criticised BU to some extent, so why?
Its only since Tan sorted Moody and Mackay out has the support strengthened which of course was after the Langston payoff.
What has interested me is that it seems the anti Tan agenda seemed to gather pace as Mackays replacement was losing the fight
To survive. A small army at the Castle in Aug 2013 ended with a huge army backed by the Trust, The local media, two forums and a supporters club in May of 2014 with of course the prize of relegation. I suppose being a little long in the tooth has some advantage, one of the main ones is to live and let live. Lately it seems the norm to be called a Tan follower, Tan Lover, pro red,
Tans arse licker , sell outs, amongst others. Its a shame that its the same few spewing out this false crap and serves only to split
The fan base, as do these relentless stickies of doom. Some might not think Mackay was at fault but others do so why make another repeated point about it and sticky it. What ever your beliefs are the only people that can come out of this with pride are
"Those who have stayed away and sacrafised a huge chunck of their social lives". And Sian the young lady who has stuck to her guns and fought for her beliefs. The rest of us who attend games ard all the same, Tans arse lickers whatever? I think thats the term frequently used by some.

Sadly, that's where you lose any credibility. If no-one listens, then how can anything change?? :?

That is where you and other intransigents fall by the wayside in any debate. This should be about the beneficial future of Cardiff City FC and NOT Vincent Tan, but you have 'latched on to a cause' and are intent on following it through; partly out of ignorance, but mainly out of pure bloody-mindedness!

Learn to separate the 'issues' and just maybe you will see there are many different sides to all this; not just the one

I don't think you can ever accept this, but not everything Tan has done is "bad" for the club and not every one of them is geared at "pissing the fans off"

i havent enjoyed either, but being honest Tan or the red are not totally responsible for my lack of enjoyment..

i had been going to the same spot on the bob bank since the seats were put in there until it closed,15 years or so, i had mates who both live local and from all over South Wales around me there ,who now are all over the place at the CCS..{ some stopped going over the move } but the social side of it for me hasnt been the same since, away?..still go,still have a good time, but there is no edge anymore, its a different sort of day.......{ no doubt there will be critics of that remark , but its my opinion }.

then there is the football, the least exciting ive ever seen in more than 40 years......i will never say the end justifies the means again......i pay good money to be entertained, and the last 3 years the 1st of these in blue } i just havent enjoyed,in fact some of it depressed me for days.......the year we won the title under the stands were rammed at 35 mins, it wasnt red it was the dour games............

the colour.........totally alien to me.......but WE should have rejected it.......the club at the time was stable..i dont see any great divide over the colour..........the divide is those like myself who accept we took his silver and did very little...and those like you whose frustrations have turned to hatred of the man..........

It doesn't alter the fact that your tone has become much more militant and coincides with a number of factors including MM sacking. The forums the Trust and supporters club conveniently didn't support B.U.s marches or sit ins and refused to support their stance.
I and thousands of us are pro blue but see it
Unecessary to call people sell outs, arse lickers
Names you are increasingly using. The fact is Annis it's clear to see that the new opposition is nothing less than opportunism on behalf of the forums Trust Echo supporters club.

I believe you are expressing a common view Danny. Most educated and adult viewers/ supporters are put of by the rhetoric. It's mostly the youngsters who by into this. When it comes to rebrand I'm better of reading about it elsewhere as every negative angle are blown out of proportion. Being a critical reader I'm a red lover and Tan follower, but in reality I'm pro team, and looking to support the players and manager. I hope next season will not only focus on the colour, but the team and their success.
