Goal line technology needs a review! (France game)

Maybe they should show all the other moments where it isn't a goal

All they need to show is when the ball actually crosses the line. It's pretty easy to work out then that it hadn't crossed the line earlier in the move rather than raising fans/players hopes by showing where it was "no goal" first.

Easy for us at home who've had half a dozen replays anwyays.

But at the CCS if that exact situation happened at a goal on the other side of the stadium which you didn't have a very good view of originally then it would be well confusing.

Easy without those replays too.

It was easy to understand.

First part no goal = no Benzema goal
second part goal = own goal from fumble

If anything the system helped fairly award the goal to the correct person

Its a great system.

I think the system will work fine when everyone gets used to it. It naturally made people think that the ref had made a mistake giving the goal and thats why there was an uproar. I was just saying it seemed like a crap idea using that format but I'm sure people will now be more patient with it.

nj i agreed with you and posted such but smart arse here miss quoted me to make him look good, there was no need to show both pics it only confused everyone in ground, only later did they say it was policy of fifa to show both which maybe they will change in light of confusion

The right decision was made. Benzema's shot wasn't enough to cross the line but the keepers mishap meant it went over the line, even for a split second.
